Australia’s Next Top Model – Caris Eves told to shape up
Caris Eves the only Western Australian contestant in this season’s Next Top Model, has been told she has ‘too much junk in her trunk’.
In Perth Now she has been told to eat less junk food, and exercise more.
The article states:
The 19 year old acting student from Inglewood studies at Edith
She says the life of an aspiring model isn’t always easy. The girls work up
to 18 hours a day filming the fourth series, which airs on Foxtel’s Fox8 in
April. “We started filming from day one,” said Eves, “The cameras are pretty
much on us all the time. The only time when they aren’t is when we are in the
bathroom or sleeping.”
Eves said most of the contestants got along well, though “one or two of the
girls are getting picked on”. The trials and tribulations of living in a
“model” house have so far included sleeping on the bottom of a bunk bed (she’s
used to a king size), giving up junk food (which she loves) and getting fit. “I
need to concentrate on my fitness,” she said. “I enjoy takeaway too much. I’ve
been told I have too much junk in my trunk and I need to tone up.”
Though she is on the books of Chadwick’s model agency in Perth, she has
been concentrating on her acting and working part-time in a bar and a fashion
store. But she’s enjoying modelling.
“I’m having a lot of fun,” she said.
Australia’s Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson likes Eves’ look. “I’m
probably her biggest fan. She’s got one of the most beautiful faces I’ve seen in
a long time,” she said. But Dawson said the blue-eyed redhead must kick her
junk food habit and tone up. Her braces may also work against her.
“She’s a knockout and she understands fashion,” Dawson said. “I see a lot of potential
in her.” Dawson said that so far the contestants had been well-behaved. “There
can be a bit of a Lord of the Flies thing that kicks in when you get so many in
the same house,” she said. “But they are all on their best behaviour at the
moment. “Last year we had it all – phobias, ADHD, you name it. It was like
a psychiatrist’s dream.
