OPEN POST: MASTERCHEF AUSTRALIA

Talk amongst yourselves and don’t bag Donna Hay too much, as I bet you all have at least one cookbook of hers. I confess I have about five.

I never had a thing for reality tv and never expected to let my life get ruled over the timing of a TV show.
But Masterchef got me hooked, complete with line and sinker. First watching Harry Houdini grin and light up the show with his “knock-me-down and I’ll keep trying – with a smile” during last week and then grimacing as Mr Unpopular steadfastly refused to pander to the judges , take of his hat, shave, pretend to media whore with tears and oohs-and-ahhs and oh-my-gods. Loved the judges putting down his superior dishes and consistently looking for silver in the clouds of the other competitors – I knew it was too good to be true when they complimented his chocolate mouse the day before but did you see the ‘final act’ when he told Ms cookbook where to stick her camera angles ? Simply awesome!
He must be every working persons secret dream – a demographic far greater then home cooking mums if the unemployment % remains around where they are – have you considered that Channel 10 ?

Well, all that said, it’s good thing they finally got rid of Chris, now my life can return to normal this weekend and maybe I’ll do a cursory check who didn’t lose sometime next week.

Let’s face it y’all, Poh is very easy on the eye and the TV screen simply loves her… and then there’s Chris. sounds superficial, but you do the math. They obviously didn’t want Chris to win and made very sure of that. scandalous. Julie/Poh had an interesting narratives/stories coming into the show and like all reality shows it does come down to popularity it would seem. I’m impressed with Ten’s skillful manipulation of it’s audience. bravo.

totally disappointing with the finale today. Julie is MAster Chef? you gotta be kidding. She is a very nice mom I have to admit but she doesnt deserve to be Asutralia 1st Master Chef. Justine and Poh should be in the final, either of them win will make me happy. Oh well, i will say bye to the show from now on, no word can express my disappointment right now.
