New Reality TV Shows Starting This Week

This week to coincide with the end of MasterChef Australia Channel 7 and Channel 9 are launching new reality TV shows.

Channel 9 tomorrow night at 7.30pm premieres it buy from the USA called Dance Your Arse Off. The show is a mix of So You Think You Can Dance, and The Biggest Loser. The Guide in the gave the show the thumbs down saying “This is a frighteningly garish production full of shrill, inarticulate Americans,”

Their Wednesday night program Australia’s Perfect Couple first episode does not do much better with a “It’s early days but Australia’s Dullest Couple  might be a more appropriate title. It doesn’t look promising when the first pair evicted appear to be the most interesting, if the bitchy comments from the ejected missus are any guide.” They do say the teasers for upcoming episodes look interesting.  This show will be shown at 7.30pm.

Channel Seven’s World’s Strictest Parents also premiers at 7.30pm on Wednesday night and it too got the thumbs down with a “…Brat Camp meets Super Nanny and Wife Swap minus the HRT. Sadly it does not add up to much.”

Channel Seven is does have the series return of The Amazing Race on Thursday night and it has returned to the 7.30pm timeslot hopefully it will be a ratings winner, as it is such a great reality TV show. If you have never watched it give it ago it is addictive.

Maybe they should combine the dance show and the couples show and have “**** your ass off”

World’s Strictest Parents is a farce, the fact that the producers, filming crew and airport staff have assisted these children to purchase alcohol illegally is beyond belief, and that we allow this to televised. It’s very sad that reality shows have lowered themselves to this level.
