I was surprised to find how much I liked it, too, CG! It is a bit of fluff, but it's a fun bit of fluff and I enjoy it when Brad is goofing around, making Rachel laugh. Before I saw the show, I assumed she was going to be a humourless harpy, but as you say it is engaging that they are so invested in their jobs. (Although I'm not sure about the "no competition" - Taylor is still seeing Brad as a threat, and as for Marisa...!)

Hmm, a Jordan spinoff, hey... Don't think I'd tune in for that one.

I can't believe I'm admitting this but I actually shed a tear when Brad started crying with joy after Rachel told him he was going to the Oscars. I think I had too much red wine. Maybe the reason this show is so watch-able is because it is so lightweight and brainless but also endearing. What these guys do is so silly and obnoxious in the context of all the world's problems at the moment...but it is so cute how seriously they take their jobs. Escapism at its best. Is this another sub-genre of reality tv, RR: brainless, no competition, more of an insight and "fly on the wall" on a job and industry we have not really had access to before? Something for people interested in fashion...but far less pressure than watching project runway, for example. The biggest tension is what is going to happen with Jordan...will she leave RZ for her own spin-off at the end of this season? Ah, the suspense. Ha!

Wow. This recap was up fast. I am watching RZ on Arena +2 which starts in 30 minutes. So I won't read ur recap until I watch the show. RZ is becoming one of my favourites and I don't know why because I am not that much in to fashion and the show is so superficial and silly in the scheme of things. Maybe I like it because I do like watching the Oscars and other award shows each year. And there is no competition per se which is a relief from some of the other reality shows. Ha!
