My Kitchen Rules Contestant Is A Felon

My Kitchen Rules

What is it with those South Australian’s teams in My Kitchen Rules? They are certainly making the show interesting. First we had snarky Mel and Paul and now with have news that Matt Michaelis is a felon.

Matt was paired with ex-wife Melissa Edwards on the show.

Mr Michaelis has been convicted o f receiving stolen goods, speeding and driving while disqualified. He has been handed suspended jail terms on three seperate occasions.

The Sunday Telegraph article states:

The contestants did have to submit a police clearance and that tere was no “hidden aspect as such”.

In a statement issued on his behalf by a Channel Seven publicist, Mr Michaelis said: “The charges relate to traffic offences and receiving stolen goods from some years ago.

“All matters have been before the court some charges were dismissed without conviction.

“We are trying to promote through the forum of My Kitchen Rules that we can function as a family despite being divorced.

“My heart is in the right place and as a loving father, and supportive parent, through our good fortune we’re trying to assist others.”

Despite the rap sheet, Channel Seven has stuck by the self-confessed chocolate lover.

“Matthew and Melissa entered the competition for all the right reasons,” Seven publicist Libby Mickan said, adding: “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

I quite like this couple they both have a bit of spark,  not sure that I like the driving whilst disqualified though.

At last another Chris B for the ladies to get stuck into!
Yes I agree the driving without a licence IS a serious worry.
Otherwise as you say they have potential as the most interesting pair. GO S.A. YAY!
