Survivor Heroes V Villains – A Blindside, And Some Bad Strategy

Coach needs to throw away all his self-help books, so he will stop spewing new age verbiage from his mouth. Having said that I am enjoying watching him and still cannot decide whether I like him or not. If I was on that island with him  he would probably irritate the hell out of me.

He was having a slight nervous breakdown after last week’s tribal council, where Sandra accused him of not doing enough around camp. But a debrief with Tyson who told him to tone down the weirdness and a back slap from Boston Rob did the trick, and he was back to giving himself some self love. No not like that there are camera’s around.

Speaking of villain’s  is Courtney anorexic? She is just so bony. Also she is doing a very good job of flying under the radar again. I am not a fan of hers.

The reward challenge was a mix of baby oil, slip and slide, and basketball. James looked like robocop all oiled up.

The villains won the baby oil challenge, and took home the rewards, or equipment to make life easier on the island courtesy of Sears.

It was hilarious when Russell nearly hyperventilated when he realised he had dropped an immunity idol clue in front of the whole tribe. The villain’s tribe made an agreement that anyone who went looking for it would be the first one voted out.

Of course an immunity idol to Russell is like smack to a junkie he could not resist. He said he was going for a walk, however he did not fool Rob, who sent Sandra out on a recce who busted him.

With the heroes tribe it was a different matter they all went looking for it, and Tom found it. He was not subtle enough and Amanda saw him put it in his sock.

When they lost the immunity challenge it was either Colby or Tom to go. Tom thought he had created a new alliance when he suggested Candice should go.

Cirie quickly slapped her alliance around to ensure the targets were still firmly on Colby and Tom’s backs.

Tom and Colby then stitched up a plan to play the idol and vote Cirie off all hinging on JT’s vote, and it worked. It was the show’s first blindside and Cirie was voted out.

Meanwhile Coach was forming a cult over on the villains tribe, indoctrinating his team mate with his dragonslayer chi.

Whilst this was going on Russell was looking for the immunity challenge, and he found it. “Here we go again” he crowed.

The reward challenge was interesting. James was dominating in collecting the “balls” until he did his knee in.

In fact I thought the heroes were the villains  in this challenge with JT upending Coach nearly landing him on his head, and Rupert ramming Jerri’s head into the wood. I really don’t like these wrestling challenges as they are so unsafe.

The reward was a chocolate feast, I don’t think the male members of the team were as excited by it as the girls were.

Russell told Parvati about finding the immunity idols, who was pretty excited about it. He told her he would let her ride on his coat tails, she promptly said “I don’t ride anyone’s coat tails.” They then decided to rope Coach into their alliance, who is a such a douche. He was so honoured that they are trusting him to be loyal he played Sir Lancelot to Russell’s King Arthur, and bent down before him much to Russell’s enjoyment.

Another immunity challenge, another Heroe’s lead blown when they get into the puzzle part of the challenge. So it was off to tribal council again.

James was gunning for Tom, and Tom was going for James. TJ and Candice looked like they were going to back Tom, but chickened out in the end and voted Tom off.

I think the heroes have made a big blunder, because if James knee does not improve he will be a liability in the challenges.

Next week it looks like the inevitable Rob and Russell showdown is going to occur. As Rob said ” “Russell, he’s like a Hobbit on crack. Somebody like that, the thing to do is get rid of ‘em right away.” However, Russell has the immunity idol which does give him the advantage in this tussle.

Hooray cerie is gone. Good riddance.
Sad to see tom go. James dodged a bullet. I liked him in previous survivors but this time round he has been a pain in the bum. Also makes 2 short planks look like an IBM, speaking of which, how DUMB is the heroes tribe? Why would you keep a one legged man on? must be to help this crew of Mensas to solve puzzles in future. Nyuck nyuck nyuck!
SIGH I fear my 2 pet loathes, Perverti and sandra coattails whine are going to get to at least the last 4.
Well grease up the HDJWA Tv Exocet

You don’t think Russell seriously believes that everyone is in the dark about his immunity idol do you? If Rob goes down to someone that stupid…I don’t like to think about it. I actually attempted to look ahead to see what happens, but we’re apparently in line with the US this time, probably a good thing. Spoilers have a funny way of spoiling my anticipation.

Sad to see Cirie go, but I love a blind side. Too bad Tom’s gone instead of James, James looks good in oil, but it’s strategists like Tom that make the show entertaining.

Sad to see Cirie go too but a move very well done and kudos to Cirie for recognising she’d been got by one of her own moves.

I can’t believe they kept James. With that leg, he’s a liability, pure and simple.

It’s different this time for Russell because the villains tribe are on to him. Only, it’s going to be hard to get rid of him while he has the idol. Rob’s got it exactly right, Russell needs to go home.

One thing I’m not liking is the increased aggression in the challenges. How long before someone gets seriously hurt? For entertainment purposes? It’s really not necessary.

Oh, ps, why are they suddenly calling Colby Donaldson? I loathe him. Seems to have something major permanently stuck up his butt.

Here are my observations
– Coach, first time I’ve heard the term ignoble, ever
– I have no words to describe coach, he’s pure entertainment, can’t stop laughing
– James oiled up looks like a toy figurine
– Rupert swinging Jerri into the pole was over the top, what was he thinking, good on Jerry for picking herself up and continue to score
– With the honour/idol/knighting thing, Coach is such a stupid person, it’s almost too good even if it’s scripted
– Rob vs Russel, can’t wait

Sourkraut – you and I have a different view on Cerie, I think she does what she can to stay alive in the early rounds, as she is a weak physical player. Agree James is a major liability, but then if he makes it to the merge he will never be a threat to win individual immunity. BTW did you see the look on Parvati’s face when she saw Cerie had been flicked.

Wurstsemmel – Agree Rob will need to be smart to force the Idol out without him becoming the target. I wonder where Coach will flip and flop. Actually started off not liking Colby but I am coming around to like him a bit.

TDK – Oh yeah Coach is pure entertaiment. I am not sure I would let him coach my daughter, seems as mad as a hatter.

Ursa – I was considering looking for spoilers last night as I was desperate to know who wins the Rob/Russell tussle, however I realised it would spoil my enjoyment of the show.

Raver
The only look I want to see on pervertis face is one of shock when the men finally wake up to her and vote her out
re cerie, i’ve seen her backstabbing bullshit in 3 series and I’m afraid that I just cant tolerate that sort of person, game or no game
I still like Colby right from survivor Oz where i thought he was the most deserving but got finked
