The Amazing Race – Great Location, But Not So Great Challenges

Kevin and Michael who finished last in the previous episode  were back in the game pretty quickly this leg. They were smart enough to find another flight, and their speed bump task of sitting on a ice chair looked painful but it only took 10 minutes.

What was the point of the fake bear at the road block? It was ridiculous. In fact the whole road block was a bit dodgy, were the contraptions the huskies were pulling looked like quad?

Jill And Thomas missed an arrow and were running last, and decided to use their express pass after a half hearted attempt at putting up the tent on the detour.

Chad and Stefanie had a meltdown over the sled ride, as she decided she could not do it after one attempt.

Johnathan from the Glee team, were also having issues and had to switch tasks. As did the girl volleyballers.

However, Nick and Vicki  found the challenge easy as they are more of a physical team than mental. No surprise there.

The two doctors Nat and Kat came in first at the pit stop on the Norwegian border and won a trip to Belize.

Gary and Mallory were team number two, and Brooke and Claire were third.

Sadly Jonathan and Connor were the ones that were eliminated. Here is an exit interview with them at Buddy TV.

Only watched the second half, as
Maeve O’wotziz’ food safari was doing the anionted states cwizzine, but half way through that (after they showed the grits) i couldnt stands it no more and switched to watch some more gaucheness on th A. R.
felt sorry for Chad’s partner on the ski doover, ie until she put on the faux weeping i’m sorry caper and being a big boofhead male all woz immediately forgiven. Would have loved to see duz whine in those circs.
Anyhoo the blonde beach babes got through so will continue to invest. Also pleased to see the Asian father son pair do well. A t least they have some manners.

R U going to do the beauty and the geek?
It was fun last night

The sled the huskys were pulling was motorized because it was summer and it would have been too hard for the dogs to pull a sled on rough ground. It was used to keep their fitness up when the snow melts. It looked like they were running very fast so I think it worked well in terms of dog fitness.

As a challenge I really liked it because compared to previous seasons whenever they have an animal challenge it seems to result in animal cruelty with one team screaming at their animal or worse like in Last seasons ox or turtle challenge.

Hey Sour I had to read your entry twice! I thought you were asking RR if she was going to go “on” Beauty & The Geek. As a beauty of course! I agree I enjoyed B&G last night. Thought the costumes were classic. At least Bernard was minuse the bouffant last night!

Sour – I am going to do Beauty and The Geek it will be more timely next week, I just decided to decamp to bed. Beauty and the Geek is the show I think I am never going to like but once I start watching it I really enjoy it.

I have it taped.

Panda that clears that up, I thought if it was motorised there would be a risk the riders could run over the huskies if they stopped suddenly.

Izobel2 – I’ll be covering it B&G, I just was tired and couldn’t face it last night.
