Channel Ten Renews Junior Masterchef And Undercover Boss

It is no surprise that Junior Masterchef and Undercover Boss have been renewed by Channel Ten. Both of these shows have been a ratings hit for the station.

One show they have ditched is Don’t Stop Believing the Glee type talent show where groups compete against each other. The show bombed in the ratings in the UK. Wisely Channel Ten have decided not to take the risk with it here.

loving Undercover Boss however not sure how they will be fooling employees as to why a TV camera is following one person around..the show is not so secret anymore.

Dissapointed about DSB, would have been a great show and clearly lacking a YTT type show on aussie tv at the moment

Have you heard anything about if they’ll bring back SYTYCD instead, RR?

No they’re not bringing back dance at all.
Got to dance is also in Limbo now as are other shows some of the productions companies were planning on doing.
Blame Packer

Iz: Andrew I have no words to describe Andrew…too crap for YTT standards at least they were interesting back in the day

As you mentioned above, the prize money for Junior MC is quite minimal given what it would rake in.

I also assume that on Undercover Boss the companies are the ones who put up the “gifts” for the employees. The free advertising that Medina received on last nights show would have been worth thousands (warm and fuzzy about the workers, the CEO translate to warm fuzzies for the company).

I think that people are turning off the self interested competitiveness of a lot of reality shows with big $ prizes so it will be interesting where that takes television.
