Survivor Redemption Island Finally Screening In Australia
Good news to Survivor fans who have not downloaded the latest season of the show, Survivor Redemption Island will be premiering on GO Channel on Tuesdsay 22 March at 7.30pm.
It will be a double episode, which would will mean if this continues we should catch up to the US.
The big thing of this series is Russell Hantz and Boston Rob are back in a showdown. It will be interesting to see how they go, as there must be big targets on both their backs. I would probably keep Boston Rob around for awhile for a bit of camp eye candy, but why bother with Russell.
The other big twist is the Redemption Island where the person who has been eliminated from the game will have an opportunity to seek redemption and return for a chance to win the million dollar prize. Each week at Tribal Council when a castaway is voted off, they will be sent to an isolated island called “Redemption Island,” where they will live alone in exile. To stay on Redemption Island, they will need to compete in a duel against the next person eliminated at Tribal Council and sent to the Island. The winner of each duel earns the right to continue fighting for an opportunity to return to the game and the chance to compete for the title of Sole Survivor; the loser is sent home.
This could be very interesting indeed.

Okay, so *finally* Russell is going to be up against people who have seen him play before. This should be good. My money’s on Boston Rob to win that particular showdown…
Nice work RR. Been waiting for this news!! I even for the first time ever tried to download the first ep last week as I couldn’t wait any longer, and I couldn’t do it! (user error I think!).. I’ve heard the first ep and tribal council is worth watching!
Oh it’s about time – now, just to find a way to remind myself. Watching Celebrity Apprentice has totally whetted my appetite for more Survivor!

I know it’s unpopular to say so but I love Boston Rob. Essential viewing for that reason alone.
Wurstsemmel – you’re not alone! I really like him (now) too. If you’d told my first-all-star-season-self that I’d end up liking him, she would have pooh-poohed that. He really grew on me in TAR, plus I loathe Russell so much that he has altered my perceptions on his predecessors.
Boston Rob’s my favourite Survivor too, can’t wait to see what he can do again. And Russell? Shudder – only guy that could make Johnny Fairplay seem human.
I think Russell only has one way of playing which has done in the last two seasons.
but as Injera pointed out everyone has now seen him play. If he can not adapt he is going to be mince meat.

Hurray! I was beginning to give up hope, but all is not lost. If only Go would introduce series link on Foxtel I would be able to truly relax that I won’t miss an episode. Bring on Boston Rob, I like him much better now, and agree about the comments about Russell – time will tell if he can play the game as an open book….
Does anyone know where I can download the first double episode of Survivor REdemption Island as I missed it? I’m in Australia and although I can find websites to download it if I was in the US I can’t find anything to do it in Oz.

We’ve caught up with the US so it’s only on for one hour. Hey wait I just checked the online guide and it says Benjamin Button… Darn Easter week it must be off for the non-ratings week or whatever it’s called…. I was all set to watch it tonight too. My tv book says 7.3opm.
Due to non ratings period it won’t be screened until next Tues. Much fear and loathing about this. Just when they finally catch up with the US it stops for a week.
Don’t get too excited Channel 9 have pulled the show without warning. Watch or download the episodes by other means.

As mentioned above Caroline, due to non-ratings week its off for a week. Back to one hour episodes also.
