The Block – Consumer Affairs Clears The Real Estate Agents
The Block has finally wrapped up for the season, with news today Consumer Affairs Victoria cleared the real estate agents of allegedly over quoting of the sales of the Richmond houses.
TV Tonight reveals the Department has said the “auction outcomes tend to support the validity of the advertised prices”.
Julian Cress the producer of The Block has been livid about the investigation.
TV Tonight’s article states:
”It comes as no surprise to me that Consumer Affairs cleared us of any wrong doing considering there wasn’t any wrongdoing from us in the first place,” Producer Julian Cress told The Age.
”In my view the publicity surrounding their so-called investigation contributed to potential buyers not attending the auction. It certainly had an effect on our outcome.”
In other The Block news Channel Nine have said they will look after Katrina and Amie. They were the only couple not to make any money on the sale of their houses.
But a spokesman for Nine said yesterday they would not walk away with nothing. “We will be looking after them,” he said.
