Reality Wrap Up – Wednesday 20 September

I am submitting this to Media Week and thought I would just pop them on my blog as well,it  has some new bits of information in them:

The first elimination occurred on The X Factor last night with Cleo Howman from Natalie Bassingthwaite’s over 25 group leaving the competition.

Cleo had to sing off against other contestant Jacqui Newland with the three of the judges voting for Cleo to leave.

The first season of The X Factor premieres in the US tonight, with Simon Cowell on the judging panel as well as producing the show. At this stage no local channel has announced whether they will be screening the program.

The Renovators has turned into The Block with specific rooms being nominated for renovation, contestants having to move into their houses, and no eliminations this week. With three weeks until the show finishes there are twelve contestants remaining. Last night three teams competed in a panic room challenge to win a $20,000 landscaping package. The half done house (orange team) won with their bathroom.

Farmer Wants A Wife on Channel NINE is now looking for farmers for Season 8 of the show. This show does have the runs on the board in finding love for the farmers.

Dating in The Dark has not been quite as successful in hooking up couples however production has commenced on season two and TV Tonight states this series will be filmed in Melbourne. It will screen on Foxtel over summer.

Foxtel has also commenced production on Cricket Superstar this will have a similar format to their show Football Superstar. Fifteen young cricketers will battle it out to win a rookie contract in the 2012-2013 season. Lee Furlong is presenter, Allan Border is judge, and Graham Manou is mentor.
