The X Factor – And Now There Are Eight

The votes were two to Johnny Ruffo, and one to Audio Vixen, and Luke Jacobz says to Mel B if you vote for Johnny he goes home or if you vote for Audio Vixen to go it goes to deadlock….

Mel B snaps “Well it is not going to deadlock..” Camera pans to Johnny Ruffo and his crestfallen face. Then after she waffled on about how Johnny can’t sing but he has a special something, and how Audio Vixen can sing but didn’t have any X Factor, she voted for Audio Vixen to go home.

So the vote WAS going to deadlock. Mel B must have been tired from her new born. But it was a stuff up as at first it looked like she had killed the dramatic tension, and then she just looked like she was confused.

She wasn’t the only one to stuff up Chris Isaak or his band stuffed up the ending to Pretty Woman.

In a world first I actually picked the bottom two on The X Factor  in last nights blog post – Johnny Ruffo and Audio Vixen. After it went to dead lock Audio Vixen were eliminated. This meant they had the lowest public vote.

Did you think the Mel B made the right decision picking marketability over talent.

If you see Mel B’s face when Luke announces that it will be going to deadlock; she was confused. The Judges were, also. When they told her what happened, her response: “Oh shit; sorry.”

I think she wasn’t paying attention…

I’m still all “WTF” though.

Audio Vixen left the competition cause they had more than the X Factor. THEY WERE ABSOLUTE LEGENDS. Judges normally use the Sing-4-you-life performance as an indication on whether the act should continue in the competition. Mel B DID NOT. If she had, she wouldve voted for Johnny. Audio Vixens performance was faultless.

Yeah, I think it was a mistake on Mel B’s behalf. SHE WAS CONFUSED.

5 brain dead dave { 10.11.11 at 10:13 pm }

Mel B did get confused about her choice.Immediately after her choice ,you could see the other judges tell her what was going down and you could hear her say “shit”. Stuff up for sure.

I like Mel because she’s the only judge giving honest feedback. The other three are in om the joke, giving credit where it’s not due.

Guy Sebastian in the Keith Richards T shirt- like Bambi pretending to be Darth Vader. Fail.

BDD – LOL about the Keith Richards t-shirt.

Sheng – I am not a huge Audio Vixen fan, but Johnny cannot sing.

Kaylen – one of those memorable X factor moments

Congrats on predicting the two bottom feeders, RR.

Johnny should buy a lottery ticket. He’s a dead man walking.

I can’t believe Mel B stuffed up! First she said, “It’s not going to deadlock”, then she says “the PERSON who is leaving…” before she announced that she was sending Audio Vixen home!!

Johnny can’t sing!!

I think Mel is just worried that AV were better than her girl..whatever her name is.

9 X Factor Tonight Is A JOKE { 10.11.11 at 11:22 pm }

WTF going on with Mel B seriously ? send the talented home and keep the CAN-NOT-SING. Is this a Singing competition or the model show ? She must know if it’s up to the public then all the crazy girls would go for Johny for sexiness. I’m sick of this.

10 Reality Raver { 10.11.11 at 11:34 pm }

BDD – it has been a long time between drinks on selecting correct bottom two’s etc.

Ok at this stage everyone thinks Johnny should have gone home.

X factor has gone down hill this year. Sorry to say but AGT knocked this years X Factor out of the auditorium.

The Judges don’t seem to gel, the chemistry is not there….

What a load of c..p. Mel B should get the bullit over this. They should allow A.V. back on the show. We could all see it was a stuff up. X Factor should take the high road and admit the mistake.

I actually liked the fact that she made a mistake, gave the episode a more memorable quality to it – and who here doesn’t like their Reality Shows to have a shock or memorable moment? I must say though after watching both UK X-Factor & Oz X-Factor in the space of two days in a row, I find the UK one to be far superior in appearance & quality of the overall look of the show. Just take a look at the staging of the judges entrance for example. In the UK they have real fire blaster thingoes whereas in Oz we say their names twice and use a fake fireball image on the big screen lol. All that can be fixed when they decide to put more money into the show (more likely now the ratings are going up compared to last year!)

15 sue { 10.12.11 at 8:31 am }

I stopped watching it a few episodes ago, becoz i couldn’t stand all the flat/screechy singing from MOST of them- talent…pfft!!!

16 ruby { 10.12.11 at 10:46 am }

I bet they got rid of AV as they don’t fit the image that Simon Cowell expects the winner to have. He can only handle one ‘frumpy, boring’ but talented act at a time (these are words used to describe them on the show’s forum, by the way). I blame Ronan for this. He allowed them to go out in the clothes that his ‘stylist’ would slap together from St Vinnies to get them the boot. He chose dreadfully insipid songs like Chains. But Johnny? He is shocking. He CAN’T sing :) Also, Declan deserved to be in the bottom 2 after his dreadful version of Teen Spirit. Mama’s boy Guy is a shocker as mentor. Like he would have ever been into Nirvana anyway. Not whilst the Sound of Music soundtrack is embedded in his MOR mind. I would tell these boys ‘Whatever Guy says, do the opposite’.

17 Mimi { 10.12.11 at 12:24 pm }

I agree, Ruby. Ronan ignored advice re AV’s image and he must have known that they’d been lumbered with the ‘boring’ and ‘old fashioned’ tags after week 2. How did he respond? He sabotaged them further by giving them insipid songs and frumpy outfits in weeks 3 and 4 thereby consolidating the negative labeling in the collective minds of the public. It’s inexplicable to me why he did it. Image can be adjusted (look at what Nat has been able to do with Andrew and Mitchell) but great vocals like theirs are innate talent, a gift.

Yes, Johnny can’t sing but he does dance nicely and is pretty. Who is the voting public largest demographic? Teenage girls. I rest my case!

19 Wron { 10.12.11 at 5:23 pm }

The talent in this year’s show is appalling, there are a few which shine. Last night we saw one of them fall… In all honesty why would we let Johnny Ruffo continue in this show when he clearly has no right to be there? He’s marketable yes, but surely they realise there are 50 million other Usher wannabes already out in the market?

We want something new, something original! For crying out loud the music industry is dying due to the lack of talent. There are plenty of talented people out there so why not give them a go instead of trying to sell another little boy who loves his mummy oh so much….

20 brain dead dave { 10.12.11 at 7:02 pm }

There’s plenty of talented young people out there, I’m sure but they’d be in a room jamming somewhere rather than being on a cheeseball reality television show with bloodsucking, deluded parents in the wings and hysterical young girls doing the voting.
