Kate Cebrano To Host Excess Baggage Show On Channel NINE
Excess Baggage which is one of a suite of reality shows Channel Nine will be showing next year have announced Kate Cebrano will host the show.
The Daily Telegraph hints she beat a raft of people including former The Biggest Loser host Ajay Rochester. However Ajay will be a contestant on the show. The show is a celebrity version of The Biggest Loser.
The article states:
The sexy soul singer has landed the job ahead of a list of famous fat fighters, among them Ajay Rochester who is now set to appear as a guest on the show.
Nine is yet to announce the cast of the show but the network has been unable to keep a lid on the contestants signing up for The Biggest Loser style knock-off show.
Among celebrities eager to shed some weight on the program are singer Christine Anu, Australian Idol winner Kate DeAraugo, actor Gaby Millgate, paparazzi parody Darryn Lyons, and retired AFL great Robert DiPierdomenico. But the biggest international signing to date for the series looks to be Britney Spears’ chubby ex,Kevin Federline, who ran into trouble last week following claims that he took a drunken naked romp at a Melbourne hotspot.
Nine bosses are expected to unveil the show at a network sales event to be held in Sydney next week but yesterday were giving nothing away.
Ceberano has been on Nine’s books since the start of the year when she signed up as a Getawaypresenter.
Famous for her own battle with the bulge, the mother-of-one, who is also Australia’s most famous Scientologist, is now said to be in the best form of her career thanks in part to a rigorous fitness campaign undertaken to prepare for her Berlei association.
The cast spent last week training in the Kimberleys for the eight-part series.
If it is only an eight part series that means it will be an hour episode a week. I would have thought they would have wanted more to fill the 7.00pm spot that is doing so well for NINE ratings wise with their reality shows.
