Dan Ewing Charged With Assault After Domestic Dispute

Former Dancing With The Stars contestant and Home and Away bad boy Dan Ewing is up on assault charges after allegedly assaulting his fiancee during a domestic dispute at their home.

The Sunday Telegraph reports:

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that Ewing, 26, who plays bad boy Heath Braxton on the Channel 7 series, has been charged with assaulting his fiancee, Marni Little, during an argument late on Tuesday night.

Officers allegedly found Ms Little, 28, “in a distressed state” and “suffering superficial injuries to her arm”.

When contacted yesterday, Ewing said he could not comment on the alleged incident.

“It’s a police matter,” he said. “My fiancee and I are dealing with it and we’re still very much in love.

“We’re shopping together as we speak. We haven’t been apart since — we’re getting married (and) we’re very happy. We’re fine.”

The incident allegedly took place about 10.45pm when police from Manly Local Area Command were called to the couple’s apartment on Sydney Rd, Fairlight.
The Channel Seven media department must be getting pretty peeved with the network male stars as they have just had ducked for cover with the Kyle Sandilands furore.
Their media comment on this is “It’s a private matter between Daniel and his fiancee and the network won’t be making any further comment.”
It will be interesting to see what position the mainstream media takes on this since it has been taking a higher moral ground on men being derogatory towards women.
The first being Matthew Newton, and more recently Kyle Sandilands.
Dan Ewing’s case goes to court on December 20, and it will be interesting to see if his fiancee Marni Little is a reluctant witness.
Dan Ewing has taken to Twitter to try and spin that all is good in the relationship.
The Sunday Telegraph writes:
A day after the alleged assault, Ewing tweeted: “Missing @marnilittle even more than usual today.”

The pair appear to have reconciled since the alleged incident, posting pictures together online and tweeting about themselves.

“Spending all Saturday with @marnilittle, I mean sure we are cleaning the house but the music is cranked and the Windex is out!!” Ewing tweeted about 11am yesterday.

The article does not state whether Marni called the police or if a neighbour did.
Maybe Marni may want to have a long hard think about whether this guy is the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Also it will be interesting to see how much longer Dan Ewing stays at Home and Away, considering a large demographic of viewers of the show are younger girls, they may want to quietly pitch him stage left.

Soapie stars really need counselling during their brief 1/2 hour of fame. Too much disposable income, thinking they are god’s gift to everyone…and it all comes crashing down.

I barely remember the stars of E Street or A Country Practice getting into trouble on a regular basis.

I agree RR Marni needs to think long and hard about her future with this guy. These type of guys especially one who is an actor are good at maintaining appearances, what happens behind closed doors is what you need to worry about. Undoubtedly he’s a good looking guy but you can’t live a lie forever.

There was a blind item a few months ago which I think appeared in the Sunday Telegraph saying someone’s recent fiancee who was constantly ringing the set of Home and Away which I believe was about Marni. I think they both have their problems and it’s an unhealthy relationship.

Channel Seven can only turn a blind eye to these types of things for so long. He’s a liability to the network and he’s a dime a dozen in terms of acting ‘talent’.

He is a gutless turd who is a bad actor. Ugly head and low IQ.

I wouldn’t say he has an ugly head at all, although his eyes are too close together… I do think it’s a bit rough to be declaring him the villain of the piece just yet. Superficial injuries to the arm could easily be self-inflicted.
