Dancing With The Stars – Mel B To Be Co-Host

The Sunday Telegraph has got the scoop on the new Dancing With The Stars co-host, with them announcing Mel B will fill the role.

It is quite a coup and will certainly add a sense of anticipation to the new season. Daniel Macpherson will continue in his role as well.

Now if the rumours that Kerri-Anne Kennerley has signed on as well are true it will be a cracker season.

Mel B will also continue on as a judge on  The X Factor Australia.

Dancing With The Stars will be screened on Channel Seven later in 2012.

oh wow this was unexpected! Great scoop!

I have heard that she is leaving LA and moving to Australia and I think has just flown out this week with the whole family, so all the pieces are fitting in well to confirm this story.

Not sure I like her as a co-host. I would actually prefer to have KAK to host the show.

Please tell me that’s not happening… Mel B on Dancing With The Stars… my favourite show!!!!! Her voice will drive me crazy, like fingernails down the blackboard!!!! Surely Australia has come of age and we don’t need these second rate over rated people from overseas to co-compere our shows. We have wonderful people here who I’m sure would love that job. Sorry guys but that has spoiled the show for me. I’ll have to try taping the show and fast forwarding past her ‘voice’ and see if I can cope!!!!

110% agree Sandra R; I cannot stand her voice and why do we have to ‘import’ someone from UK or her current LA? Have we NOT got enough of our own talent, screaming out to be used for a show. She is vile from an armchair point of view – WTF. I wrote to JennyCraig saying the same thing some time back (fingernails down blackboard) and as in get her off! I don’t believe it, honestly!

Maybe Mel imagines the Antipodes are behind the times and we think she’s ‘spicy’ hot.

‘Oooo, they loove mare in Orrstraalia’.

Lol so I guess no fans of this idea? I actually like her, but I can understand why people dont. I think probably Fifi Box or Erica Heynatz would have resonated better with Australian audiences.

And she will be paid $1million for a few weeks of work. We don’t need all these foreign actors etc to be on our TV shows.

littlepetal; betcha none of our ‘celebrities’ get anywhere near that sort of moola, for fronting a tv show – and she comes across as so up herself which is a turn off for most Australians – as I said previously no wonder our talent is running off to LA as they are so under-used here. Maybe Mel just cant get a job in LA or UK?

C Grade ‘celebrity’, up herself, common and can’t speak the Queen’s English … .
No, I don’t like her and you are probably right Leop, she is past it in the UK …

Uggghh cant stand her… & why can’t we hire local TV hosts instead of employing UK hasbeens like her & Brian Mcnuggett???

Matthew Newton would have been a lot cheaper……. and scarier.

I like her – it will be something a bit different for a show that is getting a bit tired – good move!
