My Kitchen Rules – Carly and Emily Cook, Peter and Gary Moan, And The Big Twist Is Revealed.

Peter is giving new meaning to the term bitter and twisted. “I will take great delight in taking out all those back stabbing people out of the competition” said Peter who was bitter and twisted about the low score the other teams had given them in the previous episode.  And that was only the start of his moaning about how the show was a popularity contest.

It was Victorian team Carly and Emilly’s turn to cook and their theme was Harvest Moon, with fusion food.

Megan from Tasmania was a bit confused and had not thought fusion was going to be so Asian.

For entree it was pork and prawn bean curd rolls in oyster sauce, main was Tea Smoked Quail with Pork Fried Snake Beans and steamed rice, and for dessert it was steamed Malay Cake with Ginger Mascarpone Cream and Ginger Syrup.

What looked like a disaster when they thought their rice cooker was stuffed but then they found out there was a spare one in the garage. Other then that their prep was fine, except when it came to de-boning the quail this took them quite some time.

Peter  was unleashing and said “They knifed us pretty badly, and we got the lowest team score and we were not the worst”.  He had conveniently forgotten that they left them waiting for three hours for the main and dessert was not served until 1.00am.

He kept on going “There was some tension around the table, they know what they have done, we know what they’ve done, and half of them can’t look me in the eye.”. Seriously this pair are not taking any responsibility for their slow service at all.

The girls served the entree, and there was some disgruntlement there were no chopsticks.

Pete thought the entree was extremely salty and said “It nearly spoilt the whole dish for me.”  However Manu did not find it salty at all.

Most of the contestants found it salty except for Nic and Rocco who were extremely positive about the whole evening.

Then there was an hour and half wait between entree and main and Gary starts to whistling when they were waiting. Peter said he hopes they treat these contestants the same as them.

The presentation of the main looked nice but as Jillian pointed out it was a small serving.

Manu thought the tea was actually burnt, and all he could taste was smoke. However he did think it is cooked to perfection. Peter thought the beans had not had enough love and needed more seasoning.

Peter did not like ginger or mascarpone that were in the dessert. It was unclear whether he thought they should be gearing the menu towards his taste buds.

Pete was really impressed with dessert, and when Gary and Peter heard this they grimaced.

SA gave an eight Gary gave, NSW gave a six , Tas gave six, WA gave a seven, and Qld gave a six. This is was 33 out of 50. Peter said “Bullshit”.

Pete gave a five for entree, three for main, and nine for dessert.

Manu gave a seven for entree, four for main, and eight for dessert.

They scored a total of 69 which placed them second on the leader board.

Peter continued to moan. He said the judges scored us second highest of the teams, and they got the lowest of the team scores.

And then we found out the big twist. The bottom six teams were doing another round of instant restaurants! At first I thought bummer I was ready to see them go into the MKR kitchen, but with Tom and Carla, Peter and Gary, and Emma and Andrew in the bottom three I think there will be fireworks and game playing.

Do you think if they’d left out key ingredients like Tassie did, they’d be telling us that the producers also hide your ingredients?

Lol Fides – they probably also hid the champagne glasses, dessert forks and the wine that wasn’t served during the wait.

Maybe they hid the classy ~6 degree~ table setting and replaced it with the Wiggles decor too.
