The US Biggest Loser Contestants Go On Strike – Awesome

The producers on the US version of The Biggest Loser had some industrial relations issues on their hands with news contestants shut down production for a week.

TMZ reports:

TMZ has learned nearly all of the remaining contestants have walked off the show and are threatening to quit after learning about a secret “twist” that could seriously affect their shot at the $250,000 grand prize.

Multiple sources connected with the show tell us … the mutiny took place this week …when the losers got word that producers were considering bringing back previouscontestants to compete for the grand prize.

We’re told most of the current contestants were pissed — feeling it was unfair that prior losers would get a second bite at the apple … so they banded together and decided to protest by walking off the show in the middle of shooting an episode.

Sources tell us … show honchos have shut down production for at least a week while they figure out how to handle the situation.

This is hilarious and it would be interesting to see something occur in Australia. Maybe half way through filming Masterchef Australia the contestants will stop flambeing if they don’t get a payrise, or access to their mobiles.

Sack the lot and get a new bunch of fatties in. They’re like autumn leaves.

How many times have I heard “It’s not about the money” on this show?

BDD – True true, but clearly once they closer to the prize it becomes ALL about the money

“It’s not about the money,it’s about the money” …US concert promoter Bill Graham.

RR ,if you haven’t heard about it already ,you might want to look up a current US reality tv show called “Dance Mommas”,been featured on The View here etc in last few days.

The lady who runs the dance school makes Commando look like Bambi.

I’m not entirely sure what people expect when they voluntarily go onto a reality TV show. TBL has been going for how long now? the format is almost never the same with new twists and turns. They should just shut their holes, enjoy the opportunty to work out with state of the art equipment, eat free food and oh yes not have to go to work (& still get paid).

I dunno -= I would be ropeable if I had gone 24 hours without food or whatever to ‘win’ a prize and then they introduce a whole lot of bogus conditions afterwards. good on the US contestants I reckon.

Is anyone still watching the AUS version? Selina does seem to have some issues. I am actually wondering if she is delayed in some way, in which case it may not have been wise to put her on the show. Altho she really does need to get her health under control and she is still very young.

Seepi , I’ve stopped watching TBL Australia after a few years of loyal viewing. The love and lard theme isn’t working for me. Looking at Margie four nights a week isn’t exactly life affirming ,either.

Selena is hearing impaired, if I recall correctly.

how come there are no more posts on Aussie biggest loser anymore?

Yes anonymous, I was thinking the same thing, it seems as if RR has lost interest or it gone the same way as Excess Baggage, a big flop!

Not much fun watching TBL. Always repeating the sob stories about finding love and they cry at the drop of a hat.

Thomas and Carla can’t cook even through the western Australia cook shit

Their “cooking” would be good enough for the people on Biggest Loser Aust. No complaints about “too salty” , ” or ” zis ees not what eet say on ze menu”.
