Game On – Big Brother Auditions Have Now Been Announced

It is the news that many Big Brother fans have been anticipating. The auditions have finally been announced, but they are calling it Housemate Hunt. The live auditions kick off in Perth on the 14 April.

It basically is an open casting call but you do need to register beforehand and fill out an online form and take it with you to the live auditions. The online form is here, and it is not too onerous.

Questions like Why Do You Want To Go On Big Brother? I presume this is to try and weed out the fame seekers, which will be a bit difficulty. Also it asks you to describe yourself in 25 words or less, and they also give you a section to tell them a little bit about yourself. If you have done anything interesting, controversial, scandalous, have an unusual talent, overcome great difficulties or  just anything a little bit quirky this is the place for it to go.

Then turn up at one venues around Australia:

REGISTRATION OPENING HOURS: 8am to 4pm

It is not like the talent shows you do need to be 18 years old to apply.

Throughout the day there will be different stages of the auditions and you may get asked to leave at anytime, and apparently if you apply with a friend depending on the venue it maybe difficult for you to wait for them.

The other thing you should know that if you do turn up with a friend both of you won’t get on the show as the premise of the show is strangers living in a house! The audition information also says that you should not share get to know the people you are waiting with that well because of this, and if you to become mates with someone at the audition this could be detrimental to your chances to being on the show. Go to the Frequently Asked Questions section here for all you need to know.

Anthony, who writes for Reality Ravings, has said he is going to apply. However if he does he won’t be able to write about it as the Terms states that you cannot talk to the media outlets about the selection process.

Also the new logo has been revealed what do you think?

Big Brother Australia will be seen on Channel Nine later this year.

New logo is fantastic! Even though its based off the UK logo we totally needed a freshening up.

Might I apply? I dunno… I think I’d be the type of housemate who loves the show yet will hate being in there.

We need to start a campaign to get Chrissie Swan as host of Up-Late!

Please tell me that Kyle Sandilands will not be a part of this show! Please.

Can’t wait to see the show, but I just hope the people are a mix of all ages, sizes etc. There’s nothing worse than everyone being young and beautiful, the most popular housemates have been people such as Reggie, Chrissie, Sarah Marie, Terry etc. I enjoy the game playing and psychology used in BB, Survivor always gets the mix right and its still successful after all these years. With BB the first 3 series were the best and the last one with Karl and Jackie O were the worst! The one with the twins fooling everyone was good too.
