Lara Bingle Thinks Her Show Is Going To Be Better Than Brynne Edelsten’s
Lara Bingle appears to be on some sort of promotion fest this week with interviews in both Sydney Sunday papers and as usual she does not do herself any favours.
In an interview with Ros Reines in the Sunday Telegraph which had the title of Lara Bingle I’m No Einstein shows at least she has some insight to her intellect but that was about it.
She was talking about her new reality show Being Lara Bingle which will start filming shortly.
She basically said that Brynne Edelsten’s reality show would not be as good as hers.
Bingle is not convinced that Edelsten can carry her show but thinks she was “really sweet” when they did Seven’s Dancing With The Stars together.
“Perhaps if Brynne were pregnant there would be more of a storyline going on,” she ponders.
Bingle thinks interesting stuff happens to her like police turning up to her door to talk about her speeding fines. News flash Lara, Police turn up to Brynne’s house because of a domestic disturbance. I know which one is the better plot line. By the way neither of these incidents were filmed on their shows.
Lara has some strange ideas on what will be a good plot line.
“Late-night partying doesn’t interest me,” she says. “I’d rather go to the gym”.
If she thinks viewers want to see her exercising on a running machine she is very much mistaken. And the the $64 million question is what DOES she actually do? She says she is a model but she got the flick from Speedo.
She also talked more about “the plot”of her show to Kate Waterhouse in the Sun-Herald today.
She told Kate the plot line would be:
I’m working on a number of things throughout the show, like sunglasses, skincare, jewellery . . . I’ve had to find manufacturers and everything and the personal life stuff, you can’t script that. I’m moving into a house with [my best friend and manager] Hermione and my brother – that will be a show in itself.
Really? An advertorial for her merchandise and scenes from her share household. Sorry still not convinced.
Her cameo on Celebrity Apprentice Australia gained her few fans. She turned up late to the challenge when she was meant to be assisting and did not take it seriously at all and came across as arrogant.
She does admit to Kate Waterhouse that when she was with her former fiance she was not a nice person.
She said to a question about whether she had any regrets:
No not really. For example, if I stayed with Michael, I would not be the person I am today. Everything was given to me on a silver platter, I had no moral values, I was not a nice person. I had a money tree out the back, clothes, cars, everything was [too] easy . . . but now I put it all in perspective.
It will be interesting to see how she is portrayed on screen but we should expect a slightly narcissistic personality who does not have a lot of depth.
