The Biggest Loser – tables are turned

Just a couple of notes on last night’s episode. As the final four returned, Bek-less, to the lounge, Margie rocked out the “it was really hard and we don’t have the right to vote people out” line. It felt a bit false, although Michelle responded positively to the sentiment and she’s spent the most time with Margie, but for Commando to throw Selena’s (original) ouster in their faces was a bit rich. I mean, how many chances did Selena get? And did she capitalise on any of them?

The train-the-trainers session was predictable for the amount of pantomime savagery the contestants planned for the trainers. Also predictable for the “oh gosh golly gee I wonder what is happening” mugging from the trainers. This was betrayed by Tiffiny when she said “I thought this wasn’t happening this year“. Of course. Such a surprise! Β The trainers all congratulated themselves that they’d done a good job in training the contestants. Β Oh, and can somebody explain to me how much colder Swiss ice is than Australian ice?

It really did seem like an awful lot of filler – kind of like a montage of Richard Simmons workouts, although he managed to complete a workout within an episode, if memory serves. Β The “train Australia” went on for so long that we must wait until tonight’s episode to see Alex’s routine.

Each year this episode is a total bore.

The ‘train Australia’ was in Olympic Park and some idiot put out the invite for 100 instead of 1000. They got a few hundreds but not 1000. Actually all the Top 8 were there but we only get to see the Top 4.

If it wasn’t for the stunning magnificence of The Block, I’d still be watching this. Spewing that I’ve missed Train the Trainer and other lowlights wheeled out at the pointy end of the competition every year..

It is like watching a particularly low-end panto, BDD. I’ve only seen that panning-for-gold Block challenge, though – is it worth making the switch?

Littlepetal – I wonder if heads rolled over the invitation mess!

Peter A – This is the first time I’ve seen it… but I can imagine that it lacks the WOW factor every time πŸ˜‰

I like train the trainer.
Translation: I like watching Commando work out.

Lisa, my comment does not reflect my wifes impression. She drooled when Commando took his shirt off.
