The Mystery Of Being Lara Bingle

After four episodes of the Being Lara Bingle show some mysteries have emerged about her life.

They are:

  • If she is so busy why don’t we see her actually doing anything – “it has been a really full on week, and we are meant to be going to LA in three days”
  • If you are a model why don’t you have a modelling agency not just a PR firm being your manager, which is weird enough?
  • If you are interested in fashion and want to stick to modelling why go to LA? The agent was laughing at her.
  • Is your friendship a healthy one with Hermione when you are constantly making barbs at the other person?
  • Why would you go to India to meet some guy who you met via a call centre phone call who now sends you fan/stalkerish emails?
  • Why do you need to stop the car to make a phone call when you are not driving?
  • Why do you think meeting PR people like Kelly Cutrone is going to get you work, anyway she cancelled as it was a waste of her time or Network TEN did not stump up her appearance fee.
  • Why when a real estate agent shows you a luxury house are you surprised that it costs so much or is it because you are not used to paying for anything?

Chances of her moving to LA are slim, as her job prospects are zero, and to pay her rent I suspect she would be hitting the phones much like Ajay Rochester is now or working in those high end fashion stores she so likes to shop at.

Because this show is more rehearsed than Shakespeare in the park, more phoney than Joan River’s face – and Lara Bingle is more dull than my Saturday night (and that is pretty bloody dull!!!)

This show is like the thought you have after a frontal labotomy. It’s 2 hours of watching someone knit in half an hour. There is more depth in Jersey Shore.
Here is Lara talking for 2 seconds on her best friend quitting her manager job – oh wait, here is Lara on a balconey…wait, forget that, here is Lara talking to overly gay friend in first class on NZ airline. Oops, here she is driving them talking about her deadshit brother and his hooker friends. The end. Am I still going to watch this live TV abortion? Of course. Anyone that young and beautiful that’s life is an empty vessil of nothingness – bring it on! Plus Episodes is on WAY too late at night on Ch 9 and god damn, it’s worth staying up for!

Thanks for these updates RR – It reminds me to keep not watching this.

Just based on the reviews here I’m glad I’m not wasting time with this garbage. If she ever wants me to go watch her, she should just do a porno. At least that way there’ll be a semblance of plot and I can pretend she’s just being an idiot rather than actually knowing she is one.

Damn. Too late.

I hereby nominate Lara for the arse-end of the human skank-a-pede.

It’s interesting you mention the unhealthy friendship with Hermione. I had the same feeling as well that there is an underlying jealousy and she is very narky towards her. The whole sleeping with the brother thing and how they revealed it to Lara was just weird. Sadly, Lara doesn’t have her mother’s support either. She needs to find some strong female friends who have their own lives and things going on and are not threatened by her.

I take back everything I said about the emotions being too raw and too honest (that confontation with her mum in the second or so episode) – this show is scripted within an inch of its life. And not by a scriptwriter (or what passes for a scriptwriter these days) – but scripted in terms of some production bright spark saying something like: okay, now stop the car and have an argument with your brother about him having girls in your apartment.
So we end up seeing a half arsed inarticulate attempt at some drama al la “what do you mean , what do I mean?”.
Just follow her on photo shoots if you have to continue. Dont try this shite please.

I’ve seen every episode, it’s not a very good show at but it only has to follow a Ma$terchef ammunity challenge and it’s over in about twenty two minutes if you don’t count the ads.

I’m pretty sure I can say it’s the worst show on television – but we are yet to watch an episode of The Shire – so I’ll hold off that judgement until then.
Oh, and I’m pretty sure the editor of Being Lara Bingle is either bi polar – or it’s just as simple as they have absolutely no footage of anything even remotely interesting and just cut together bits and pieces to fill 20 minutes. Either one.

Ahhh the human skank-a-pede… who’d thought? :)

I want to know did she pay that mile high pile of bills before she flew off business class to the U.S.?
She behaves like a child, as if she has not got a care in the world. Who is paying the bills?
She thinks she is a star because an Indian man from Vodaphone has befriended her! Duh, I think we could all befriend an Indian if we wanted to from one of those services. She is crazy, beyond belief. Words cannot describe her. I do not think she graduated High School. She has no common sense. She doesn’t know how to live in the every day world, she lives in a world of her own. Come down to Planet earth Lara!

You said exactly what I was thinking Beau, it makes no sense at all to give this girl her own show. Unfortunately she probably is being paid really well to do the show with the business class air fares thrown in and the bills paid. She has no idea how normal people struggle. My daughter is the same age as her and works hard all day as a journalist. I’d rather watch Brynne Edelstein’s new show coming up,at least she knows who she is and doesn’t pretend to be any different.

Andy,
I very much doubt she would be receiving much for this at all.

By the way RR, I read the link on Ajay. How desperately sad she is.

13 Culinary Boner { 07.04.12 at 4:05 pm }

Sad, desperate or otherwise, she still gives me the horn, Paul

I thought last week’s episode was ok as at least it had some fashion in it etc., but this week’s episode was so dull I turned off after 5 minutes. What the hell does she do??? I think all of her friends probably think she is hilarious and producers probably thought that this would translate to the small screen. But it doesn’t. She comes across as an airhead. Also her brother and her friend are not likeable characters at all. Narcissistic personality syndrome and over inflated egos comes to mind with this show.

Poor Lara she seems like a nice girl but her brother is a complete empty headed bogan sponge and her mother is a nasty, jealous bogan who has had too much body work. Ditch those losers Lara and move on.

The show should be re-titled…
Becoming Lara Bimbo
