Big Brother – Ray Reveals The Nom Nom Booth May Not Be Soundproof.

Well the mystery about Ray only getting a warning for revealing who he nominated to other people in the house has now been partially solved.  In his elimination chat with Sonia Kruger he revealed that Ben had known he had voted for him that week as the nomination booth was not as sound proof as they thought.

When Sonia Kruger later asked him about it again later and saying the box was sound proof, Ray said he had walked into the bathroom and Ben was telling a few others that the box was not sound proof and he knew who had nominated him. He and George had then looked at each other thinking they were both in the dog house with Ben.

If Ben was telling everyone in the house that Ray had nominated him then Ray himself had not revealed it. At the time Ray said “everyone knows I nominated Ben”. So now it makes a bit more sense.

On the other hand maybe Ben was guessing who had nominated him…. However chances are the booth will be given another testing by Big Brother to ensure it is soundproof.

It was surprising that Ray was the one eliminated tonight as he has not done much this week. However this might be the reason why no one could be bothered to pick up the phone to vote to save him as he is a tad dull.

In fact none of the housemates looked like they cared that he was gone.

It was also surprising Angie received the highest vote as her editing this week has not been great and Estelle has been getting a sympathetic edit with the viewer seeing all the housemates ganging up on her.

This continued with the emergence of the Estelle and Ava lesbian fauxmance. There is a lot of snarking from the other housemates about their relationship. This resulted in Ben and Angie sitting her down and telling her not to hog Ava.

No surprise Ava is hanging out with Estelle as Stacey who is a bit of an alpha female has taken a dislike to her.

Finally Ray and George who both think they are quite the catch were discussing their pick up techniques. George’s is to play rock, paper, scissors and if he won he got a kiss and if he lost he buys the girl a drink. Ray’s technique was to just talk to every girl in the club starting with the best looking and working his way down, and then if that doesn’t work he then goes to MacDonalds to give it a whirl!

Nominations will be interesting tomorrow night as George cracking the blackboard will put him up there, as the housemates are now banned from using the gym or pool for 24 hours.

Also a new male housemate enters the house tomorrow night. Will he be 20 something, buffed and wanting a media or entertainment career? Chances are he will be.

Agree RR, was a surprise Ray got the boot as the whole week has really been streamed about Angie and Estelle – wa spretty sure one of them would go.

I missed Fri nights ep – how did Ben handle his chat with Estelle – would like to know other people’s opinion?

IMO Ray giving George the Super Power was a tad wasteful as George is never really on the chopping block – and Ray should know that ………………

Was a surprise to see Ray go , albeit a pleasant one. Last week fifty percent voted to save him, if those figures are to be believed.

Great editing from the producers to reprise George picking his nose. Well at least he put it on the bed and didn’t eat it.

Also it’s hilarious about the “sound proof” nom nom booth. Add that to the eavesdropping area outside the Captain’s quarters, makes me wonder if the producers even tested this stuff out beforehand ….like the Ma$terchef oven in Italy.

I can’t really remember what happened on Fri’s ep, Sioux Denim. Not much.

I’m so close to giving up on this – and I don’t even watch it religiously. To me it REAKS of ‘The Shire’. I thought it was just a few people set up – but now I’m thinking they all are. We are basically watching The Shire – but inside a house and on Ch 9. I’m calling it now.

Sad thing is even with this all being set up – it’s mind blowing how dull and boring it is. Ch 9 would have been better GOING with normal every day ‘non actor type’ people – people ranging from all ages, different races, religions, backgrounds – because this may be appealling to the ‘younger generation’ mostly – it has pretty much lost anyone over the age of 35 and yet it could have had a very wide audience.

I think Ch 9 forgot 15 year olds do not do the weekly shopping, or buy the car, or get insurance – adults and parents do!

Oh, and this whole glass booth nomination idea is so beyond stupid it’s amazing a person thought of it – and not a monkey pushing a button of ‘dumb ideas’. No other big brother do it (as far as I know). Either do a seperate room and call them in – or do god damn face to face. This glass booth is so wishy washy and stupid you would have thought that actually the people in the house had thought of it! That’s how dumb it is.

I am hoping the next intruder is a 35 year old ex-Army drill sergeant who won’t stand for any of their juvenile $hit and becomes the new alpha male

Good one Jason! Perhaps one of the ‘old people’ from the fake house – I thought the silhouette shown looked like a large person, less than trim.

I don’t think the show is ‘live’ – how come Ray got from the house to the studio, all wired up, in what seemed like less than a minute after eviction. In previous series they’ve been taken from the house to the studio in a golf buggy – but perhaps this house is in a different location, who knows.

The atmosphere in that house must be awful, probably could cut it with a knife. After ‘nom noms’ tonight in a not sound proof booth it will be even more interesting!

George is thick, goodness knows how he has become a millionaire.

My daughter was at the eviction and she messaged me during the ad break here to tell me that it was Ray going as they announce it straight away while we are watching the ads, thats why its almost instant that the evicted housemate appears.
She said there was quite a bit of surprise that it was Ray, I was certain it would be one of the girls, preferably Angie in my opinion.
I was thinking maybe Sonia stuffed it up and Ray was the safe one?
Anyway he did seem to have a few tickets on himself and was determined to get the message out about the so called soundproof booth, hope they have a look at that in future nom noms!
I’m glad Estelle stayed for Ava but the touchy feely thing between them is getting a bit much.
Sioux Denim, Ben was basically giving Estelle a grilling over her hogging Ava and keeping her from the rest of the housemates. She was saying what has she done wrong, why can’t she have a bond with Ava, isn’t she allowed to have a friend in the house?Ben told her he is only trying to warn and help her but she said that she doesn’t feel that when he is going behind her back and talking to everyone else in a bitchy way about her! Estelle tried to stand up to King Ben which was good.
I hope the new intruder is at least over 35, but I doubt it. Housemates nominated tonight will probably be Estelle, Brad and Angie as the “Popular group” will keep nominating them until they are evicted, then they will turn on each other!

Thanks for the updates I stopped watching the show. It was boring and the HM`s are so bland and boring. Ch9 didnt live up to what they promised us BB would be, they took the lame route.

9 Darryl { 09.17.12 at 9:02 am }

http://www.behindbigbrother.com has already revealed the intruder. Samuel Wallace from Surfers Paradise

http://www.behindbigbrother.com/2012/09/heres-the-new-intruder/

10 Stacey { 09.17.12 at 9:40 am }

Thanks Darryl I was just about to post that exact link. He’s a very good looking, buff surfer. Hope he makes the girls swoon and sort of knocks Josh off his perch.
BB really could’ve redeemed itself by chucking in some interesting, decent intruders this year. As Jason said above, I hope he really puts some of the other housemates in their place. It doesn’t look like anythings changed. Ava’s getting more irritating by the minute, calling Estelle ‘baby’ every two seconds and a constantly suprised look on her face. Boring.

11 A.P { 09.17.12 at 9:56 am }

Agree with everyone re not getting the right mix of interesting people on the show, what does BB have against older people?
I can’t understand why the producers don’t take these comments on board and give us what they promised.
New Intruder just like all the others, boring!

12 brain dead dave { 09.17.12 at 10:50 am }

I tend to agree with Gidgit that this is basically The $hire. Young ,dumb surfer types trying to hook up with young,dumb chicks.

Throw in a millionaire who’s about as sharp as a bowling ball and a slovenly “genius”. Plus a talking fish that blows these white trash out of the water when it comes to personality..

Some other titles for the current BB might be:
Big $hire
Puberty $hire
Young White Middle Class Brother.

13 Reality Raver { 09.17.12 at 11:19 am }

Oh God how non-surprising that the new housemate is another buffed bloke in the mid twenties with not too much going on in their heads. In fact I would prefer Sophie and Vernesa in the house at least they would be giving us a laugh.

Maybe they should do a Big Brother with all over 30’s now that would be interesting.

BDD – Yeah Ray was not backing down on the sound proof box.

AP – and that having the announcement not live says it all really about the editing of the show. Don’t know why they don’t just announce see him leave the house and then cut to an ad break. Most people will hang around to see what secrets the latest evictee is going to spill from the house.

14 A.P { 09.17.12 at 11:44 am }

RR, I also heard on the grapevine that Ray is going to be in a chocolate milk commercial!
Surprise, surprise, wonder if that was his intention all along by going on about liking chocolate milk all the time?

15 Daze { 09.17.12 at 12:02 pm }

Big Brother? Try re-naming it Why Bother
RR do you know the demographics, is it really only getting the under 25’s audience (or even younger 10-17 age group?)

16 Stacey { 09.17.12 at 12:04 pm }

That’s hilarious, A.P! He’s actually perfect for it – the douchie Tom Cruise grin, and the fact that you know he really really REALLY loves chocolate milk.

As for the editing of the eviction, thats ridiculous. Channel Ten had such a better format. Even by the time Kyle and Jackie O were hosting it it was still way more slick than this version.

17 Trent { 09.17.12 at 12:09 pm }

Was not that shocked to see Ray go… It seems on facebook it was a battle of the girls for the save votes so Ray got forgotten. No big loss for me personally.
Must be a couple of double evictions coming up.
Waste of a Nom Nom superpower giving it to the ever bubbly GEORGE! Michael is so right that he is boring.. Looks like George or Josh will win.

I think Estelle, Bradley and Maybe Benjamin will be up tonight.

18 Sioux Denim { 09.17.12 at 12:21 pm }

Thanks A.P – am hoping Ben/Stacey get nom nom’d – just to stir them up a bit – would also like to see Josh/Michael too as they are so up themselves!

19 sand { 09.17.12 at 1:24 pm }

Josh & george are the MOST boring housemates ever. They are 2 boring sods. Just hope they don’t win. Even though Ben is a bitch & likes to gossip, at least he is entertaining and funny. Or else the house would be sooooo boring.

20 sand { 09.17.12 at 1:27 pm }

George & Josh are sooo boring. They are 2 boring sods.
Even though ben is a bitch and likes to gossip/stir up trouble, at least he is entertaining and good viewing. Just praying that George & Josh don’t win. Will never watch BB again!

21 A.P { 09.17.12 at 1:47 pm }

Stacey, I agree, he does look a bit like Tom Cruise, maybe he could jump up and down on a couch saying how much he’s in love with chocolate milk as it completes him! Hah Hah, I should be an advertising executive!
Also as far as the editing goes, I went to the final eviction of the last Big Brother when Terri won when it was on channel ten and thats exactly how it was done then too. They told us its the magic of television, they go to an ad, and during the ad they go back to the house, announce who’s been evicted, which gives the housemate time to get to the studio by the time the ads are finished, then they appear on stage as if by magic, even though a few minutes have passed giving them time to get there, its MAGIC!

22 Darryl { 09.17.12 at 2:37 pm }

There is a double elimination booked for Tuesday 9 October as there is no eviction on Sunday 7 October due to NRL Grand Final. Proof – Tickets available for purchase on website

THE NOMINATION BOOTH IS STUPID!
I capitalised that in case someone in production takes note of this blog.
It is stupid because they are too composed when they nominate. They put their hands over their mouths so that it is difficult to understand them (I find George difficult to understand without the hand) and they can’t gesture and articulate with any passion if they feel the need.
It adds to the boring element of this season.

George is boring as hell.
I’m glad Estelle stayed in because it may be that living in Ava’s pocket may start to tire for one of them and they will have to figure a way to break free (here’s hoping!!)
