Farmer Wants A Wife – Are You Surprised At The Love Matches

It was the final episode and it was time to see who the Farmers had selected as their “wives”.

Matt hooked up with Jasmine they were the dullest couple on the show this series.

They just pipped Todd and Jenna for this title.  At least Todd has insight about his lack of having much to put on the table. He realises he is thick and dull. Jenna who does have a bit of spark seems to like him but she does live in Fremantle. This relationship won’t survive.

Paul turned up alone and he said Vanessa was so miffed she would not give him her phone number.

Tom ended up going with Fiona but the producers made sure they milked the love triangle and he faced crying Shauna in a bar.

He said he had fallen for two girls and that was wrong and their night together was special. She responded that this was the sort of thing he could have all the time.  Was she meaning sex on tap? She also asked him if he was 100 per cent sure, and he said yes. Shauna looked upset even though she obviously knew the set up before going to the bar. He could have at least got her a drink!

It will be interesting to see whether Fiona is still with him once she saw the show. Her friends in the pub looked a bit unconvinced. And when Tom was sitting on the couch he did not look to much like he was in love. However he did get smoochy in the last scene.

Sam of course selected Jodie and they were shown as the love match of the series and he will now have to get a pole in his drovers truck.

News.com.au has the full update on who is still together and the two farmers still with their girls are Sam and Nikko. Matt’s did not work out and apparently he is still in touch with Brittany.

Not much surprises there. Tom is full of himself and pretends to be caring but I dont buy it. Seems pretty self centered to me. Must say Sam was a surprise of the season, did not think much of him at the start. He ended up being very emotional and romantic. How classic was his line about the right women making one a stronger men. Must say the way he said it was quite special! Good luck to him and Jodie. They seem like a very nice couple. Dont like Nikko much, he seems a bit up himself and very reserved. Don’t care much for the other farmers.

Love is fleeting! Watched last night, at 9.30pm Tom and Fiona were so loved up, open the paper at 5.45am today and it’s all over!

I agree that Sam has turned out to be the surprise of the series – very articulate when talking about love – good for him. Mind you, I don’t know how a girl who works at Flight Centre in Sydney is going to cope living in a lovin’ truck minus pole … time will tell.

All I can say is, there must be a drought in Sydney! If an attractive, confident, outgoing, fit and healthy girl like Jodi, who works in the travel industry, can’t find a decent bloke in the city, there’s not much hope for the rest of the population. Don’t burn your bridges just yet Jodi, take ‘leave without pay’ – you can always go back if ‘truck life’ fails to satisfy.

Not surprised about Tom and Fiona not going the distance – she was first choice of no choice and he took the one who would be easiest to get rid of.

Matt and Jasmine didn’t look right together but I don’t think either girl was ‘farm wife’ material.

Todd and Leah were very alike and looked good together so maybe he should rethink his choice now that Jenna is no longer in the equation.

Good on Nikko – of all the farmers, I liked him best. I think Jade is serious and mature enough to be able to handle the isolation and demands of being a farmer’s wife. I hope it all works out for them.

What were the promos going on about saying its the greatest love story ever in “Farmer!”
Sounds like they were just trying to get people to watch, what love story were they talking about?
This is the most boring lot of farmers ever, none of them will stay together.
No way Jodie will leave a good job at Flight Centre to move into a truck with Sam, has she watched the show to see how he treated that other girl who turned up for breakfast one morning?
As for Paul, who’d give him their phone number, he’s a creep!

Speaking of ridgy-didge love matches, when is Beauty and The Geek starting? Oh. And when do we get to see Brynne massaging Dr Geoffrey’s feet?

Culinary Boner – Next thursday they both start. Blog posts up soon about both and in fact I have seen the first ep of Brynne’s and I am giving it the two thumbs up. A review is being written.

Thanks Raver.
Really looking forward to seeing lots of PDAs, pashing and petting between Brynne and the Doc.

And doesn’t Big Gypsy Wedding look so awful that it might be compelling viewing!

CB – Is she going in for the kiss or the kill?

LOVE that you didn’t even mention Nikko and Jade in your review – so boring without Rachael involved.. Don’t think that one will last too long.. hear the way he spoke about the other girl?? ‘naughty lil thing’ etc! didn’t say anything near as interesting about Jade haha

Also, insider info tells me that Jodie has already moved up to Kununnra for Sam! sweetest couple by far, she is on facebook and her photo is her in high-vis gear infront of a HUGE truck. Good on her, such a lovely girl

Either way Raver, she’ll leave a stiff.

I saw Brittany in nearby Ballarat having lunch the week before the final went to air so was surprised when Matt chose Jasmine. Ballarat is only 20 minutes from Waubra and Brittany is from Sydney… However, on the front page of the Ballarat Courier today is a picture of Matt and BRITTANY holding hands at the local Waubra Festival, so maybe there will be another happy ending!
