The X Factor – The Cowboy Is Gone

“That was the best sing off we have had in three years,” said Ronan after Justin Standley and Angel Tupai had sung after landing in the bottom two.  Not sure what happy pills he is taking or maybe it is his new love that has him all effusive but it was not the best performance by either of them

In fact Justin was so flat in parts of it that it was lucky they did not catch his mentor Guy Sebastian wincing on camera. In fact when he had to vote to save him Guy caged it in terms of being loyal to his team member.

Mel B had no hesitation in sending Justin home and when it looked like Ronan Keating was vacillating she leaned across and said “Think about it. We can’t lose such good talent” meaning Angel.

Ronan seriously looked like he could not decide, though he did admit that if he was voting strategically he would have sent Angel home. In the end he decided to send Justin home.

It was surprising Justin was in the bottom two considering he butchered Bohemian Rhapsody last week and he was safe. However singing first is always a disadvantage. Also Carmello should thank the reality TV singing gods as he was one of the worse of the night and he ended up being safe.

The good news for Justin is he has gone international with very popular gossip website Perez Hilton posting a link of last night’s performance.

Klopp, klopp, klopp, klopp – Justin takes his red suit and rides slowly into the west; where he belongs.

I just don’t get it at all. Justin was safe last week after an appalling performance of a totally inappropriate song, but got dumped this week after what was a pretty good performance of something much more suited to him – certainly better than a few others. Did the mums decide he looked too gay in the red suit or what? Oh well, can’t wait to see what shockers next week delivers.

Very bland, boring show. I’m glad I recorded it to watch later as they waffle on so much that its good to fast forward most of it.
The right person went so I don’t know why Ronan dragged it out saying its the best sing off he’s heard, what a load of rubbish!

I don’t get what’s the big fuss about Carmello??? How does he have the X factor?? Ok he is a nice guy who smiles a lot but his signing is very ordinary and I don’t see much personality. Very strange!

I am glad Justin went home. Also very ordinary singer and when he sang it seemed like he was in labour! Regardless what song he sang, slow or fast, ballad or rock, by the end of it he seemed like run a marathon! It’s like every note he sang was such a huge effort. Also not much personality, got in purely of his ‘story’.

I’ve noticed the camera continually picking up Mel B’s frustrated facial expressions. She looks extremely pissed off most of the time and seems to be saying things to match. Not sure what’s going on but I think it’s more that just losing Josh. Last night she basically told Luke Jacobz to “suck it”. I wouldn’t be surprised if she quits before the series finishes.

Maybe the nanas have swapped over to Jason. Cos I have no idea why he’s still there. And if Justin was such a cowboy, why didn’t he sing country ?? Anyway, we all know that the boy band will win especially cos Simon Cowell would have told them that’s what has to happen. And it’ll be ‘the best ever’ year – don’t forget it’s mandatory to say that. No wonder Mel B is scowling :)
