Brynne Edelsten’s Past Comes Back To Haunt Her – Were You Surprised?
Brynne Edelsten must not have been very happy Monday morning when she opened this weeks Woman’s Day magazine, and saw the article alleging she used to be a stripper.
Brynne’s team have gone into damage control saying there were a lot of inaccuracies in the story, however rumour has it they had actually left a lot more salacious information out.
TRASHTASTIC reality TV starlet Brynne Edelsten consulted lawyers yesterday following magazine allegations she previously worked as a stripper.
The Arizona-raised bombshell – who married controversial Aussie entrepreneur Geoffrey Edelsten, a man worth an estimated $100 million – denied claims made by Woman’s Day she started out as a club dancer at a nightspot called Skin Cabaret in the small town of Scottsdale.
In a statement to media, the 29-year-old said: “In response (to the story), I have questions.
“If I was a stripper, and I’m not, what’s the crime?”
Edelsten’s manager John Scott confirmed they had engaged their legal team.
“There’s so many inaccuracies with that story and of course we have consulted our lawyers,” he said.
The offending article quoted a supposed ex, Eddie Carlee, who said he got Brynne the job at Skin Cabaret.
“For a while she dated a rich guy here named Eric Crown but it didn’t work out,” Carlee told the mag.
It also quotes a former LA landlord, Elizabeth Rhee, who said Brynne called her one day to say she was moving to Oz.
“She was getting married and suddenly she had money to burn because she wired me money to pay these guys to move her stuff,” Rhee told the magazine.
Brynne met 69-year-old Edelsten in Las Vegas and within weeks had moved to Melbourne with him.
On a recent episode of her Channel 7 show, Brynne: My Bedazzled Life, she flew her best friend Katie Eagle – a stripper from Skin Cabaret – to Australia.
Woman’s Day editor Fiona Connolly said: “Out of respect to Brynne, we edited a lot of material too explicit to publish.”
Brynne has heaps of fans out there, and I am not sure they would be too shocked about her background, we always knew she wasn’t a nurse of school teacher.
Brynne: My Bedazzled Life screens on Seven at 7.30pm on Thursday nights.
