Big Brother – The Age Commissioner Criticises The Lack Of Diversity In The House

Andrew Mercado from The Playlist interviewed Susan Ryan and both were forthright with their views about the lack of diversity in the Big Brother house.

Both were saying the casting did not live up to its promise, and it was disappointing the oldest person in the house was 32, with most of them being in their 20’s.

The interview is well worth a look both interesting and amusing.

Thankfully, no aged people, coloured people or Asians were hurt in the filming of this series.

Blowfish and dogs on the other hand…

I half agree and i half dont.

The final series before the show was axed had two much older people Terri & Terrence then the show was axed, at the time people were saying it was too gimmicky.

I would love to see a cast filled with people of all ages too 20s, 30s, 40s & 50s …

I have to agree to the love relationships feeling contrived. Particularly Josh & Ava and George & Layla. Wish BB could go back to the golden years where they could DRINK on elimination nights, not this squeeky clean awkward family friendly crap. All about high school lovey dovey stuff! Bring it back to a human social experiment. Think the fight between Chrissie Swan & Ben, And Merlin and Paul from the following year. Loved BB and will always love BB but i think the faults were it seemed like a cheap imitation.

But LOVEEEE Sonia! She has done a great job stepping into Gretels shoes.

Trent, I agree with everything you said except maybe the drinking part, they can have a few but they don’t need to get drunk.
We said this all the way through about mixing up the ages but no one listens to us. Half the house could have been under 30 and half over 30, it would have been so much more interesting.
The fights between Chrissie and Ben, Paul and Merlin were what made us want to tune in to watch!
When Terri won it couldn’t have been all the young ones who voted so there must have been plenty of older people who wanted to watch and vote as well, so that should say something! I do remember the outcry though of the older guy Terrence who showered and walked around naked in front of the younger girls in the house and he was accused of being a dirty old man.
just look at RR’s poll, BB is the most popular so far, please producers take note of all our comments.
