The Amazing Race Australia Still Not Renewed

It is a tad ironic that a show can win an International Emmy and not be renewed. The future of The Amazing Race Australia continues to still be unclear.

TV Tonight is reporting that a season three of the highly acclaimed show has still not been given the green light by SEVEN.

Channel Seven told TV Tonight  – “No decision until early next year. It’s on the drawing board and a much loved format.”

Sounds like they are ducking and weaving on this one. Speculation earlier this year was The Mole was replacing The Amazing Race Australia, however now it has won a Emmy they should renew it and use the award win as a marketing tool.

Would you watch it if a season three was made?

Absolutely, love TAR Australia. Great quality, scenery, locations, casting.
If they can make some of the shite on the left hand column here, why can’t they make this??

All the AR fans that I know, including myself, thought that AR Australia was better than the US version. Maybe Aussie producers would rather make shows that are cheaper, and just serve us up the US version. Maybe they only want to make shows with imported celebs so that they can be sold overseas. I hope they do end up doing AR Australia.

I am Canadian and love TAR. I have been able to watch TAR Australia via Internet … and your version is much better. We are getting as version … but we are so cheap that TAR Canada will only take place IN Canada … how lame is that? Very lame! Push hard to keep TAR Australia alive!

The Australian version of TAR is one of the best-produced versions of the franchise worldwide. In some ways it even surpasses the American version (particularly some of the later seasons).

The casts seem to consist much more of average people as opposed to the US where a lot of them are just pseudo-celebrities trying to extend their fifteen minutes of fame.

The Australian version is also capable of visiting places that the US won’t or can’t visit like Israel and Cuba.

It would be a real shame if Channel Seven doesn’t renew this internationally-acclaimed program.

Yes the US version obviously has a typecasting formula for competitiors They need to shake it up.

Yes please renew!
I think Ch 7 want to see how the new shows do (i.e. the mole) before committing to TAR

Love the Aussie version of TAR. Will definitely watch Series 3 if Ch 7 come to the party.
