New Australian Series: Outback Coroner

Foxtel has announced a new series called Outback Coroner which will show on their Crime and Investitgation Channel.

It looks interesting as it will follow various Coroners from all over Australia examining and trying to solve mysterious and unexplained deaths in outback and rural areas of Australia.

They will investigate the forensic evidence, conduct autopsies and counsel the bereaved in search of answers.

Jim Buchan, General Manager of Factual Channels, Foxtel said “The role of Coroner is one of the most intensely interesting professions, especially in regards to the investigation of crime. The unique challenges represented by the Australian outback, combined with the unprecedented access that Screentime/Evershine has secured in this series, will be of tremendous interest to our CI audience.”

There will be eight, one hour episodes.

Outback Coroner is currently in production and will go to air on Crime & Investigation Network on FOXTEL in the second half of 2013.

How many mysterious and unexplained deaths do we have in the outback?

They might have to resort to road-kill when the pickings get lean.

Damn, another great show going to Foxtel. When are they going to realise not all of us have Foxtel and miss out on a lot of great shows. So annoying!!!!!

There was a similar show on a few years ago, with Wendy Hughes. I think it was called Coroner or something like that. Only went for a couple of seasons, but it was a great show.
