Update on Big Brother Contestants

In last week’s TV Week there was a where are they now reality TV special. The winner of Big Brother Ben Norris helped pulled it together as apparently he is a huge TV Week fan.

He said in his blurb that he thought this year’s revamped season wasn’t scandalous or overtly sexual. He thought in a back-to-basics move, it put strong individuals into a social environment.

Ben also said he was impressed with the way NINE embraced my sexuality and he thought he was not portrayed as a “gay man”, but as an Australian. He wrote the show forced families to have conversations about me being gay and discussions about me being engaged.

He also admits that Estelle and he are not friends on the outside and he would still throw her stuffed pony over the fence any day of the year.

Ben also updates us with what the other people in the house are doing.

TV Week writes:

  • Apparently Michael Beveridge, Josh Moore and Stacey Wren were rumoured to be starting their own radio show, but are yet to be signed;
  • Charne Louise scored herself an audition for Cirquie Du Soleil and is keeping her fingers crossed she’ll get the chance to perform with them in Las Vegas.
  • Bradley Darke has proved to be a hit with the ladies now he is out of the house.
  • Also Layla confirms her and Sam are still an item.

Since I am plucking so many stories out of this great edition of TV WEEK go check out their new website and vote in the Logies.

wow, their post-big brother ‘careers’ have really taken off.must have taken ben a good 5 mins to put this outrageously informative material together.

Wow, Josh , Crackroach and Stacey ‘s own radio show. How deluded can this trio of talentless turds get?

They won’t even need to organise a hoax for listeners to start killing themselves.

Ben’s behaviour in the house was un-Australian in the extreme. He can go to buggery.

Michael has a job on Adelaide radio, he confirmed on facebook.

Who cares if Channel 9 ” embraced his sexuality and portrayed him not as a gay man but as an Australian”
He’s a nasty, rude, uncaring pig, full stop!

Re Michael: The premises will need regular fumigating then. Hopefully, he’ll be able to afford a toothbrush, shampoo and some clean underwear with his wages.

You’re in Adelaide BDD, how lucky are you being able to listen to Crackzilla every day!
Hope it works out for Charne though, she was another one treated like crap, all because she tried to keep the pigsty clean.

Does Ben really think he was an ambassor for gays being on BB. If I thought gays were all like him, two-faced, moralizing, interfering, catty gossips …..
Secondly I could understand someone bragging like that a decade or so ago, but I can walk down the street at home and find better, nicer ambassadors for being gay; people who are gay AND nice. He wasn’t the first gay on TV for goodness sake. Reminds me of Little Britain’s “I’m the only gay guy in the village”.

What does he expect? A float made in his own image for Mardi Gras?

BB contestants like Farmer Dave and Johnny were great, genuine people.

9 A.P { 01.04.13 at 2:53 pm }

It didn’t encourage us to talk about gay people and you getting engaged Ben, if you ever read the comments here during BB you will see that most comments were about your appalling treatment of Estelle and your spiteful, bitchy behaviour right to the very end.
I agree, farmer Dave, Johnny and Zach ( who should have won his season ) were great genuine guys, not mean at all.

10 brain dead dave { 01.04.13 at 4:40 pm }

Yes, I forgot Zach. I voted a few times for him and that sheep Aleisha nutted him.

11 Stacey { 01.04.13 at 9:44 pm }

Zach was great. I wonder where he is now. Ben is absolutely delusional if he thinks that he helped the gays in any way.

Only gay in THAT village.

Well said AP @ 4 & 9 I love it, I feel as if we are back watching BB again and he is really making you angry. That is how he gets me too. What a load of rubbish he has written. Nasty piece of two faced work he is. He was the most undeserving winner ever!

Layla’s comments to Woman’s Day (seen on ninemesn)regarding Angie are a bit rich. It’s laughable that she has a problem with someone kissing her guy, and yet found ways to justify fooling around with George who had a girlfriend.
Also I must be really missing something that George was carrying on with Lala and yet said he had a girlfriend. If I was the girl at home I’d be, “No you don’t”.
At first I liked Layla and thought she was a fun loving, easy going girl but then I saw signs of how she used her looks and turned on the bubbliness to manipulate and charm others, especially guys.
I am looking forward to seeing her in CA because it will be interesting to see how she comes across.

Daisy, it will be interesting to see how she comes across. Let’s see if she has any business acumen or does she just rely on her natural assets to get her through. I am in two minds about the girl. I was on team Layla in BB but lately after some of the things I have been reading, hmm, then again you can’t always believe what you read, so looking forward to the show.

Yes, Gabby I was on team Layla for a few weeks until I noticed her using her girlish charm to manipulate; like someone who was an old hand at doing so. Zoe noticed how Layla was good at getting whatever she wanted, even from BB. In a battle with Angie she immediately got everone on her side.
