The Block All Stars Starting Feb 4 at 7PM on NINE

Channel NINE are keeping their cool when it comes to starting the mega reality show, The Block All Stars, as according to TV  Tonight it will premiere on Monday the 4th of February.

They will be keeping with their strategy for putting reality in the weekday timeslot. This is clever as they lock people into the Network early in the evening before the big shows start on the other channels at 7.30pm.

The Block All Stars was filmed in Sydney and they had to renovate four houses in Bondi. The All Stars are Amity and Phil (Season One), Mark and Duncan (Season Three), Josh and Jenna (Season Four) and Dani and Dan (Season Five).

We know there will be some drama as Mark one of the tradies collapsed during filming and had to go to hospital.

This year the Networks are again kicking off with reality shows to lure the viewer in. Network TEN is starting first on Sunday 20 January with Masterchef Professionals (review of show will be up tomorrow). It will be in the 7.30pm timeslot.

As will My Kitchen Rules when it kicks off a week after Masterchef again it will be in the 7.30pm timeslot.

The Block All Stars on NINE from 4 Feb from 7pm.

I’d need to be plastered to get through an episode of this mindless celebration of middle class white trash.

I have never watched any of The Block so, like you BDD and AP, I won’t be watching either. But can’t wait for MKR!!

I’m not suggesting we have eight transvestite Muslims fighting out The Block but it’s time for Ch9 to be dragged kicking and screaming from the 1950’s with their White Australia Policy regarding selecting contestants.

I don’t care much for watching $cotty and Keith jostling to prove who has the biggest balls, either. Yawn. Give me some insatiable, salivating jowls any day,

I cannot wait for ze Manu and ze subtitles. Did he say “beautiful” or “pitiful”? Je ne sais pas.

I once again look forward to your translations BDD! It’s reminiscent of Dinner Date… Hedge-Hay anyone! PS BDD how fabulous is the weather here today!

I’m not sure whether I’ll be watching the Block or not. Depends how much rubbish is on it. I think it only goes 6 weeks or something. I ended up just watching the Sunday night ep’s last season. Too much Shelley/Scott/crap challenges.

I’ve never watched an episode of this show in my life, but bdd is right, why is the casts always %100 Anglo/Saxon? Oh wait, I forgot it’s Channel 9 were talking about here.

Oops wrong thread.

If it’s a shorter season, does that mean that they will actually show the participants renovating?

Or, much like the last couple of seasons, will 90% of the screen-time be spent re-capping what happened in the prior episode/most recent ad-break and/or on pointless challenges and excursions away from the buildings that they’re meant to be renovating?

Totally agree AJ.
