Matt Moran Has A New TV Gig On Lifestyle Channel
Matt Moran who left Masterchef Australia after season four is making a new show for the Lifestyle Channel called From Paddock To Plate. It is mildly surprising that he is going from a free to air audience to a niche pay TV one, however the lure of his first solo TV project was clearly the drawcard.
The details of the show are:
From Paddock to Plate, will take Matt back to his roots in country Australia, where his lifelong obsession of using nothing but the very best produce began.
Matt will explore diverse regions of the country in search of their finest produce, and the people who create it. From Paddock to Plate will have food at its heart and get under the skin of the people, and the places, where Matt finds it.
Matt said: “I grew up on a farm, and the land is where my real passion for food was born. I’m obsessed with using nothing but the best quality ingredients I can find, both at home and in my restaurants; it really is the secret to great cooking – always start with great produce.
“We live in such a beautiful country that produces some of the best quality food in the world. I’m looking forward to exploring it, to discover and cook with some new and exciting ingredients. And meet the people and producers who share my passion.”
From Paddock to Plate is developed and produced exclusively for the LifeStyle Channel, by ITV Studios Australia.
The show sounds like a cross between a Rick Stein show and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, however it should be worth a look.
