Dating Show The Choice Airs Tuesdays on Eleven – Is This Going To Be So Bad It Is Good?

The Choice starts tonight on ELEVEN and it is the dating show with a similar format to The Voice, not the singing but the turning chairs.

Is this show going to be so bad it is going to be good.

It involves D grade celebrities including our own Sophie Monk, a couple of Jersey Shore guys and surprisingly Tyson Beckford and Rocco DiSpirito. Obviously it is not a reality show without a Kardashian on it with brother Rob on it as well. In this first episode Pauly D is one of the bachelors.

Surprisingly the host is Cat Deeley.

If you want the run down on how it works courtesy of TV Series Finale:

Filmed in front of a live audience, each episode begins with four eligible bachelors sitting in rotating chairs, unable to see the sexy singles looking for a date with fame. In the initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity can only use the suitors’ voices –- as they share information about their life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs -– to help himself decide if he’s interested.

When the celebrity likes what he hears, they pull their “love handle,” which spins the chair around to bring him face-to-face for the first time with his potential mate. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out for her affection until the sexy single gets to choose which one she wants to date.

Once each celebrity has chosen three ladies, they enter the “Speed Choice” round, where each woman has just seconds to convince the celebrity to sweep them off her feet to the final round.

In the last round, love is on the line when host Deeley poses a challenge question to each of the team’s final two. The celebrities must then make “the choice” between each of their two remaining ladies, whisking one away on a dream date and leaving one in no man’s land.

The Choice on Eleven starting on tonight and on every Tuesday at 8.30pm.

I watched most of this but there were no subtitles so I only had the visuals to go by. One of the young ladies was so obviously pumped with Botox and silicone she couldn’t manage an expression. Sad really, that we’ve become so fixated with appearance, that personality and character no longer count.
