Masterchef: The Professionals – If You Do Want To See Some Good Cooking

If you want to get a break from the bitching on My Kitchen Rules, Masterchef: The Professionals looks to have an interesting challenge tonight with the remaining contestants down in the Snowy Mountains cooking over campfires. It will interesting to see if Cassie can razzle out any of her gastronomy in this environment.

The rest of the week is:

Monday – The Ultimate Blind Taste Invention Test –  This episode sees the winning team from last night’s high country challenge face the biggest invention test ever: Laksa.

Then Tuesday is an elimination service challenge where they do lunch and then after they have finished that they are told they need to prep for a three course dinner.

Masterchef: The Professionals may not be getting the main stream media love that MKR is getting but it is a great show for the franchise and hope they build on it next year.

Masterchef: The Professionals – Sunday – Tuesday at 7.30pm

How many cattle died to make Matt’s vest?

In the photo Marco’s hand is poised to make an O or do some conducting. I wonder at what point in his life he began to flounce his right hand around. Surely a 7 year old Marco didn’t do that at school. Perhaps you get to do it when you’re famous.
Jowlsy just looks so happy to be out in the fresh air in his Brokeback Mountain costume.
Even though I find them affectatious, I give both of them credit for making pretty good telly.

Muststopwatching – LOL

Daisy – good observation Marco does do that.

4 Muststopwatching { 02.17.13 at 4:10 pm }

Daisy at 2 – Ha ha – Return to Brokeback Mountain

5 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 4:19 pm }

Why do these Professionals think it is so hard to cook without electricity and appliances?

It has been done before with the Masterchef contestants.

Suck it up guys, you are the professionals.

Poor Cassie can’t do her fancy plating.

A Jowlful Of Dollars.

7 Muststopwatching { 02.17.13 at 4:35 pm }

MPW seems diminished – he had such a reputation, but seems to have lost something. Compare him to his enfant terrible days.

8 Muststopwatching { 02.17.13 at 8:20 pm }

Jabba the Critic has a bug up his @rse in the high country.

And odd way to judge. Feed one team’s food to the crowd, then the second team. Surely the first team has a huge advantage.

9 Muststopwatching { 02.17.13 at 8:38 pm }

And I’m wrong about the advantage

How do 50 riders give 58 votes?

10 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 8:40 pm }

MP did say 58 riders turned up

11 Anna { 02.17.13 at 8:41 pm }

Going by the promos Jowlsy has a brand new wardrobe … The man is getting bigger!

I think Luke is going home tomorrow even though they’re showing Coop stuffing up

12 Dr T { 02.17.13 at 8:41 pm }

MSW – because 58 of them showed up…

Littlepetal – at least they didn’t completely fu**k it like the amatas did… I am reminded of the CWA challenge

13 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 8:51 pm }

Yes, Dr T. I thought green team did a better job. With so many dishes on the table, it seems the crumble is the deciding factor.

I will have nothing to eat with the green team menu as I don’t eat red meat but their dishes look appetising.

Not fair to the red team. Won the challenge but have to cook again and the worst one goes into elimination round

14 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 9:02 pm }

I think they need two teams of 3 for the service challenge and so have to pick one more chef from the red team but someone will also get immunity from Mon challenge.

15 brain dead dave { 02.17.13 at 9:15 pm }

I think the flies should have been allowed to vote.

16 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 9:23 pm }

What about the horses?

17 brain dead dave { 02.17.13 at 9:37 pm }

Jowl$y had the biggest saddlebags- and he wasn’t even on a horse.

18 Anna { 02.17.13 at 9:53 pm }

Jowlsy talks crap, just like B1 on MKR. Why is he allowed to humiliate contestants who know more then him?

19 Littlepetal { 02.17.13 at 10:00 pm }

Anna who is B1 on MKR?

20 Anna { 02.18.13 at 11:24 am }

Littlepetal, Lisa from round 2

21 Joseph Skyrim { 02.18.13 at 11:32 am }

@BDD (15) – I agree. I think they got to taste each stage of the cooking process too. Yetch. x.x

22 Groobs { 02.18.13 at 11:48 am }

Food was shocking! Really dissapointed in these so-called professionals.
Would rather have the drama on MKR with bad cooking – than no drama AND bad cooking.
