The Biggest Loser – Another Team Eliminated

Does Cher actually want to be there she has a permanent dour look on her face and considering her size you would think she would be dropping more kilos then she is.

It was weigh in and interestingly enough the parents dropped more weight then the kids:

  • Gerard lost 3.9 kgs and Todd 1.8 kgs;
  • Janet lost 2.3 kgs and Kirsten lost 1.2 kg;
  • Amber lost 2.1 kgs and Richard lost 2.5 kgs – Amber had broken below the 100 kg mark so was understandably happy;
  • Chris lost 2.9 kg and Mark lost 4kgs and Mark looks like he is super motivated to win;
  • Mandy lost 2.5 kgs and Brett lost 4.9 kg they also had a half kilo penalty;
  • Cher lost 2.7 kgs and Mandy lost 3.4 kgs; and
  • Robyn lost 1.5 kgs and Katie 2.3 kg.

Both Kirsten and Janet and Robyn and Katie were up for elimination as the fell below the yellow line and there were so many tears both before going into the elimination room, during the elimination and after.

Kirsten and Janet were eliminated. However Kirsten looked sensational in the follow up scenes and has obviously has been following The Biggest Loser program. They might be the team to make it back in for a second chance.

Well Kirsten and Janet have been eliminated, and they still never explained what the big rift was between them. They both seemed lovely, yet Kirsten is holding a huge grudge against her mum for something.

On the other side – Robyn seems so lovely, and yet Katy seems to have some issues. Families are quite complex really.

Amber seems like she is barely going through the motions to me. and cher also – just puts on her sulky look and says no thinks if it gets too hard.

New season starts shooting pretty soon, anyone else think the poor quality of this current series is going to work against the one later in the year?

Are you sure there is another one this year?

Seepi – I think I remember in one of their back stories that her parents got divorced and so Kirsten retreated into her shell…or something like that.

Is anyone watching this year? There’s barely any tweets about it when it’s on.

The reason there are barely any tweets is because the tweets don’t show on TBL twitter feed. I really miss the CH10 TBL forums. The recaps were hilarious and people were involved in the show and involved on the boards. Does anyone know of another site that has an active forum? And does anyone know where those hilarious recappers are posting?

This week $hannan makes “surprise” visit to Big kev’s house and it looks like Uncle Fester Richard chucks a wobbly at weigh in. Big deal, Pops.

I’m finding it hard to get interested this year, its boring so far.
Saw on tv earlier a promo for The Block AGAIN! Doing up high rises this time.
Haven’t we had enough of that show this year?

BDD, have you noticed how much Amber moans and complains?
Her dad gives in to her puppy dog look and lets her go home for a week when he badly wanted to himself to see his wife, and all she does is complain about having to do the 5 hr bike challenge instead of spending time with her friends!
Does she realise she is still a competitor on the show?
What a spoilt girl she is!

I’m finding it boring because of the spoilt brat kids. Sure, they are having a hard time with their weight and I do think that the parents are partially responsible but they are really selfish and unappealing. I feel really sorry for the parents who seem to be the only ones taking it seriously.

Also, with the parents being so over-protective over these spoiled kids it takes any competition or tension out of the competition. I prefer the seasons where people enter as individuals – there is more at stake because people need to save themselves and can’t rely on anyone else.

Really – I’m finding it fascinating for the family dynamics and the group dynamics.

And people can’t win if one partner is not doing much – surely a team with two people trying hard will win.
