House Rules – Full Cast Now Announced

In a refreshing change SEVEN have gone against the trend and appointed unknowns in the judging and expert roles for their new renovation show House Rules.

As has been previously announced Johanna Griggs will host the show and will be joined by architect Joe Snell and Home Beautiful editor Wendy Moore will  score the room renovations. Also designer Carolyn Burns-McCrave and carpenter Chester Drife will be overseeing the six teams.

The press release gave further information about the new cast:

The four of them are leaders in their field:

JOE SNELL (Judge): A registered architect educated at the University of Sydney and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, who has received national design awards in retail, commercial, event and retail projects.

WENDY MOORE (Judge): Wendy has worked in magazines for more than 20 years and is one of the foremost experts on style and design as the editor of Home Beautiful.

CAROLYN BURNS-McCRAVE (Designer): Carolyn has spent the last 15 years working as an interior designer and runs her own successful interior design business.

CHESTER DRIFE (Build Supervisor): Chester has been a carpenter for nearly two decades and runs his own carpentry and construction business.

The premise of the show is six teams from different states and they travel the country renovating the others houses. Each week one house is transformed.

The prize is unknown, as is how the winner will be decided. Will it be a tally of the scores of all the rooms they do?

House Rules on SEVEN apparently coming soon.

I like the look of the expert judges.
But why foist the the over-exposed and mediocre Johanna Griggs on us again… and again…and again?

Your right bdd, this will be produced by Seven Network Limited, the same as MKR.

I’ll give it a go but if it turns into another melodrama I’ll give it the flick. My abandonment of MKR is complete, I didn’t even switch across during The Voice ad breaks last night.

This is most likely to be the renovators meets better homes and gardens… well with Jo Griggs in it… one can only speculate how this is going to turn out.
