My Kitchen Rules – Sophia And Ashlee Gone – But Are They?

Other teams appeared to have been relived that Sophia and Ashlee were eliminated last night but not because they are nasty but because they were seen by them to be the favourites to win the competition.

However like any good dramality show, and really that is what MKR has been this year, we know that this may not be the end of the road for the girls. What a better plot line then the other teams thinking the villains are “dead” but to see them remerge again in finals week?

In one way I hope I am right, as Dad & Dave duo Matt and Mick, and the Italian girls have not delivered in the cooking stakes as much as these girls have. Nor with the one liners.

Sophia and Ashlee after winning the food truck challenge had picked to cook off against Sam and Chris and Dan and Steph for a spot in the finals. They also had the advantage of picking who would cook with what ingredient. There was the choice of kidney, walnuts, and apple.

Like Sophia’s idol Charlie “It’s all about winning” Sheen, the girls made a bad life choice and chose to cook kidneys themselves. Why they did not give “vanilla” team Chris and Sam this ingredient which they would have had no idea what to do with was a bad strategic error. What is the use of having power if you don’t know how to weild it? They gave them walnuts and Dan and Steph apples. Basically they let both teams off the hook.

They made Kidney’s with Red Wine sauce and they over cooked the kidneys by 10 to 15 seconds. The boys made a Sticky Date Pudding with a butterscotch sauce which was cooked well but not a huge stretch of cooking skills. Dan and Steph made veal shanks with Apple and they were the first team to be made safe.

The second challenge for Sam and Chris and the NSW girls was to make a dish that was them on a plate. Sophia and Ashlee made Pork Belly with Caramel Sauce with Steamed Buns and Chris and Sam still cooking from the 1980 Women’s Weekly Cookbook made Salmon with Celeriac Purree and Dill Beurre Blanc Sauce. Was it them on a plate or was it just what they were capable of cooking?

The girls were having an issue with their steamed buns, Ashlee did not realise the water from wok had evaporated and they served up dough underdone buns. Again a poor decision when they should have dished it up with the rice they had cooked as well.

The judges were wheeled out for a blind tasting. Liz thought flavours of pork exceptional, however Colin thought the sauce was too sweet. Also Pete said pork was remarkable. However the buns were a dud.

Guy Grossi like the Salmon as did Karen, however Colin thought it was too rich.

The boys scored Β 44 Β getting eights from Pete, Manu and Guy. Colin liked the girls dish better saying it was the one he would remember in the morning and gave them a seven, however it was Manu who gave the casting vote scoring them one less then the Victorian boys and with that they were eliminated. They were thanked the judges saying they had learnt so much and Ashlee was in tears but love or hate them these girls certainly made series four of My Kitchen Rules memorable.

Hey Sophia’s ButtF… @137 (cheers BDD) – why hate so much?

Go ahead an defend your favourites but you can do so without attacking the other posters, troll.

Wow,another armchair Internet warrior.
Ironic you would mention troll Baldy as you spell out “ButtF”
Hypocrite much?

You come out of nowhere and start attacking posters therefore you are a troll. Feel free to continue with the insults but you’re wasting your time with me because I don’t give people like you the attention you want so this will be my last reply to you.

Gee layla…why don’t you take a quick dose of reality?
Note my first post on this board 137….then note your charming, welcoming reply 140.
Sucks to be exposed as a forum bully doesn’t it?

Well obviously they did win friends with salad, and raw fish, it must be the new way to eat down Bondi.
I don’t blame Kerrie for being upset. Yes, a few pieces of string is not good but had nothing to do with the elements on the plate. No one complained about them, did they?
As someone else commented, blind tasting is a farce.
Veronica @ 6 you are definitely right A & M can NOT cook so I do not think they will make it to the finals. I think they have only made it this far because of their fireworks between A & S.
Which the producers will be hoping for on Sunday night. Let’s watch Pete and Manu pick their two favourites to win again. I hope Kerrie gives A & S a mouthful, a bit of their own medicine back. Somehow I don’t think Mick will. He will stick to Matt and the other girls, he’s not scared of them.

Nanaliz, hope it all happens on Sunday night… since we’ve been putting up with the farce of a show, will be good to see fireworks πŸ˜‰

The judges finding string is like Jowlsy finding bones in his fish…. Kerrie’s dish looked better then the Healthy Nuts

Interesting to see Healthy nuts not pushing themselves but going down same ol safe path.. is it good enough at this stage of the competition??? Outcome was total BS

Angela and Melina have only made it so far in Komback Soup Kitchen because Jesus was as slow as a snail and Cupcake couldn’t cope under all the pressure. I don’t like Ashlee and Sophia but to say they’re better cooks than Angela and Melina would be putting it lightly.

This Sunday there’ll be eye rolls and “pffft whateverssss” off camera and we’ll see Sophia squeal like a 5 year old when it’s announced that she and her puppet have “won” a spot back in HQ after Manu’s bribe of $100 across the table to Colin. Colin couldn’t care less since he’s already stated several times that the food this series has been an abomination. Mick and Matt will leave thinking “well that was a waste of time”, while Angela and Melina head to the nearest nail salon to vent their frustrations with each other.

Regarding the Bondi Boys, Jake said it best last night with “surely they’re running out of salad recipes”.

Bondi boys like Bratz are one trick ponies… only sticking to what they know

Last nights episode proved Bondi Boys to be weak.. they could have picked eel…

Braces was already eye rolling in the commercial, so guessing bitch fight is on in front of the cameras

Ashlee & Sophia are the worst kind of people ever. and ‘Braces’ with her mouth sticking out when she talks. BITCH
