Fast Food On Masterchef Next Week

Well Daniel who has a Dude Food Cookbook should sail through next week as the theme is about fast food. The guest chef is Daniel Wilson from Huxtables, and Curtis Stone turns up again in the Masterclass episode.

Here is the episode outlines:

Sunday 14 July, 7.30pm

It’s a mystery box challenge tonight and the group are divided into four teams, each having to create their own version of three fast food favourites: the burger, fried chicken and a kebab.

They have only as long as it takes Matt Preston to travel out and buy his own favourite fast food – and theirs must be better than what he returns with. The team with the worst food will go through to the elimination challenge.

Monday 15 July, 7.30pm

Tonight on MasterChef Australia three contestants must decide what is more important to them in the kitchen: the time they have available to prep and cook, or the ingredients they have at their disposal.

In this elimination challenge the contestants must bid against each other for the items they want to cook with in a rapid fire auction, and instead of money, they will bid with minutes. The more they spend, the less time left for cooking.

At the end of the day the contestant who serves up the least impressive dish to the judges will be eliminated.

Tuesday 16 July, 7.30pm

Today we join the 11 remaining contestants at Red Hill Estate on the Mornington Peninsula where they will create club sandwiches for 50 car club enthusiasts, but not before they complete a MasterChef Australia car rally of their own.

Divided into two teams, the rally will see them travel to three different check points where at each they choose a team member to complete the challenge. The first team to complete each challenge gets the first choice of core ingredients.

The team with the winning sandwich will be safe from the next elimination challenge.

Wednesday 17 July, 7.30pm

In the spirit of Fast Food Week, guest chef Daniel Wilson, from Melbourne’s popular Huxtable and Huxtaburger restaurants, is welcomed into the MasterChef Australia kitchen to present the elimination challenge: his perfect hot dog.

The five contestants up for elimination have just 90 minutes to recreate the maple-glazed bacon hot dog with comte and dijon sauce, tomato and quince relish and mustard pickles.

Daniel will join the judges in deciding which hot dog is worst and that contestant will be eliminated.

The weekly episodes brief given out by MC has a small spoiler in the team challenge. It was the same last week. When you read how many contestsnts in the second elimination challenge you will know which team lost.

2 Joseph Skyrim { 07.12.13 at 10:25 am }

Interesting challenge ideas. Maybe just as silly as pitch black pantry but you can’t fault them for not creating new stuff. 😛

3 brain dead dave { 07.12.13 at 11:41 am }

Just what I want to see on a cooking show …a ****ing car rally.

These challenges bring back bad memories of Dani Venn not being able to toast a bun. Hopeless.

5 Joseph Skyrim { 07.12.13 at 12:05 pm }

Anna (#4) – I thought George was now spruiking the same meds Shannan was?

BDD (#3) – And Dani can still beat most of this lot. Was it her in all-stars that couldn’t boil water? 😛

6 Littlepetal { 07.12.13 at 12:55 pm }

Yes, George is spruiking Krill Oil as many other sports people. Now they have to spruik other products from Swisse’s products.

Next week challenges include deal or no deal?

7 brain dead dave { 07.12.13 at 12:59 pm }

I can’t recall exactly, Joseph.Someone will know. It’s bringing back awful stuff like Julie Goodwin grovelling around on the floor. I don’t even remember who”won”.

Dr Evil on MKR had problems boiling water, too.

8 Joseph Skyrim { 07.12.13 at 2:48 pm }

Pretty sure Callum (lanky kid) won the all-stars one.

9 Helen { 07.12.13 at 7:46 pm }

yawn, it’s getting more boring by the week. I said I would stop watching after Wild West week which I did and caught some glimpses this week, the contestants are still pretty annoying – the opening credits are more annoying by the week and this next challenge has been done before – yawn.

10 Anna { 07.12.13 at 7:54 pm }

Watching So you think you can dance…. each season contestants get better.. wouldnt think it’s possible but would vote for some…

11 Littlepetal { 07.12.13 at 11:12 pm }

The promo on The Living Room for MC gives you the spoiler that one of two contestants that will be eliminated on Mon. Lately all their promo and brief have spoilers. I think they don’t care anymore.

12 Izobel2 { 07.12.13 at 11:14 pm }

I love Sytycd. Agree Anna each year the dancers get better and there’s always something new. And its not even top 20 yet!

13 Anna { 07.13.13 at 3:55 pm }

Izobel, if I was a gambling person I’d say that the contemporary dancer that Adam liked yesterday, will take it out this year.
(She is tall, thin girl.. cannot recall her name)

14 Anna { 07.13.13 at 4:06 pm }

Found the contestant I mentioned in the previous comment

15 Carole { 07.13.13 at 4:17 pm }

Wonder how far away the take away shop is from the MasterChef kitchen. There was footage in the promo of Nolene saying her chicken is raw.

16 Morgan { 07.13.13 at 11:16 pm }

I will be tuning in tomorrow just to see what Matt Preston’s favourite fast food joint is. I know the standard of cooking this year is awful, but surely they can whip up something better than a Maccas burger? Or can’t they?

17 Eliza { 07.14.13 at 12:18 am }

They’re not very smart are they Littlepetal with their promos and press releases! When there is 2 teams and 11 people one can only reasonably assume there will be a team of 5 and a team of 6…

18 daisy { 07.14.13 at 2:21 pm }

So far on the list for this week’s family dinner is French/Belgian drunken chicken. Woolif is looking for a good beef roulade that has beer or wine if anyone has any suggestions.

19 daisy { 07.14.13 at 2:36 pm }

He sure is hansome. And we’ve already seen his Christmas baubles.

20 daisy { 07.14.13 at 2:37 pm }

Sorry wrong thread.

21 daisy { 07.14.13 at 2:41 pm }

Did you think I was referring to Woolif’s natural blessings?

22 bron { 07.14.13 at 2:53 pm }

spoiler alert but i know someone who is eliminated in future weeks. anyone want to know?

23 Anna { 07.14.13 at 2:54 pm }

Bron, I do… then again everyone else might not want to know LOL

24 Anna { 07.14.13 at 2:56 pm }

Was reading in todays paper that Jules is a foster mum to 29 kids. One of the girls has lived with her for 10 years and is now in Uni

According to the paper Jules mum is Thai and dad Australian…

25 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 2:57 pm }

bron, I want to know. I have asked RR to let you have my email address. She must have missed my email.

26 daisy { 07.14.13 at 2:59 pm }

No spoilers for me.

27 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 3:06 pm }

It is on Jules bio about her foster children and her mother is Thai.

I have worked out Mon elimination. It is between 2 contestants. Once I know which team is going into elimination tonight, I will know who got eliminated.

28 daisy { 07.14.13 at 3:14 pm }

Ha ha. Littlepetal. You are playing The Mole on MC.

29 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 4:23 pm }

Dan and Steph from MKR have a new website and I was surprise to read that they will cook for you in a private dining at the penthouse on Pepper Piers Resort. I am not surprise about the cooking but how much they are charging. $250 per person for a four course meal. You pay less for a 4 course meal at Peter Gilmore, Quay restaurant. Hervey Bay must have some people loaded with dough.

30 Georgie { 07.14.13 at 4:32 pm }

Why the **** would anyone want D&S to cook for them after seeing the sweat and saliva that went into their heart attack dishes. Then to actually charge money for the experience is beyond belief.

I’d sooner pick up McDonalds and take back to the penthouse.

31 daisy { 07.14.13 at 4:41 pm }

No, I don’t want to go back to D&S’s place for some sausage.

32 Anna { 07.14.13 at 4:42 pm }

Georgie, some will go and say that they ate their food… bleargh

33 daisy { 07.14.13 at 4:56 pm }

They have confused winning MC with being professional chefs.

34 nanaliz { 07.14.13 at 5:21 pm }

Don’t most of these amatas confuse even getting on a cooking show, with being a chef, Daisy.

35 brain dead dave { 07.14.13 at 5:42 pm }

$250 to eat Porky and Staph’s dodgy dishes? I’d feel safer grabbing something out of a toilet bowl and eating that.

36 daisy { 07.14.13 at 10:29 pm }

Oh crap! Is Neha going to get through on Noelene and Lynton’s efforts? These team challenges are crap!
At the start of the show, Jules commented that Liliana getting eliminated shows that anyone can go. The implication is that they are not being eliminated in order of ability. But then we knew that.

37 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 11:19 pm }

LOL. Can’t even make a burger.

38 daisy { 07.14.13 at 11:27 pm }

How useless is she, Littlepetal? And why is she still there?

39 daisy { 07.14.13 at 11:29 pm }

What happened to the days when they got told off if they didn’t bake their own bread? Who was the bread making guy who ca e on RR?

40 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 11:32 pm }

I am more incline to think this series is tailored for the marketing to Indian viewers. The show is very popular in India. Rishi is going to win this. Neha will be the runner up. :)

41 daisy { 07.14.13 at 11:34 pm }

In that case the Indians will think we’re idiots because they will be able to see Neha isn’t much of a cook.

42 daisy { 07.14.13 at 11:36 pm }

And in India they will think peoplein Australia can’t cook with this season’s MC line up. Embarrassing.

43 Georgie { 07.14.13 at 11:46 pm }

Send the three stooges over there and they can make a more authentic Bollywood style MCI. Jowsly might get a good dose of Delhi belly while he’s there and lose his ample gut.

44 Littlepetal { 07.14.13 at 11:49 pm }

Jowsly’s is so well tuned to all the crap, he is immune to any Delhi belly

45 daisy { 07.15.13 at 12:58 am }

They will worship him. They will think he is Ganesh.

46 Morgan { 07.15.13 at 1:09 am }

The amount of team challenges this year is ridiculous. Once again we had people like Neha and Kelty getting by thanks to their teammates even though the dishes they cooked were crap.

47 daisy { 07.15.13 at 1:11 am }

I think most of us agree. It’s frustrating to see the weakest ones slipping through the net.

48 Alec C { 07.15.13 at 4:57 am }

Rishi Jules Amenia jr we can’t lose in this elimination :)

45 Mins and amenia jr cooked something average – is seen to have a breakdown in next ep – hopefully she’s gone.

Daniel food was SO healthy you don’t even need to finish it haha.

Wonder if Emma having immunity pin affected the judges decision – they don’t want just 2 people going into an elimination before top 10.

Again the top dish from each team should be safe and the bottom 4 go into elimination. Rishi out Daniel Emma in, emma uses pin so there’s still bottom 3.
