Harrison Craig – Australia’s Next International Star?

Harrison Craig who won The Voice this year is confident that he will be an international superstar.

He told this to Amanda Hooton who interviewed him in an interesting article in this week’s Good Weekend.

In the article it was revealed:

  • His stutter is not that noticeable;
  • His mother believes he will be bigger than Elvis (bless her);
  • He has a strong work ethic;
  • He is in to girls though there is a funny bit in the interview where a girl flashes a picture on her phone of Robert Downey Jnr and says it is her future husband and he responded that he was his!
  • He misses aeroplane flights.
  • The articles states that it is unlikely he will become a huge star as none of the other winners here or overseas. However there are exceptions to the rules we will just have to wait and see if he is one of them.

I’d lean towards a no

Sounds like he’s taking more drugs than Elvis with the claims he’s making.

Being bigger than someone who’s dead isn’t much to aspire to.

Setting himself up for a big fall – the kid can sing, but he is hardly the next Michael Buble.

My youngest, a preschool boy, also has a crush on Iron Man. Will this mean he’ll be “bigger than Elvis” too?

I think you can work to make a living as a singer but whether or not you become a global superstar is out of your hands. You can work hard your whole life and never become a millionaire.

The UK x factor has probably produced the most global superstars but people are even critical of that show because their first winner is now singing on a luxury cruise. I don’t think that’s too bad.
On x factor and the voice they keep saying how the talent is incredible that year but that is because they now accept people who have or had music contracts.

Can’t you all realize that this was just another PR and who was behind it?! Music is a business. It’s all about investment, risk and opportunity. In this article, I see a strong business justification.

Hey, how about you haters and lovers of his have a battle round on the Voice? Bookmakers can be excellent judges. Seems he has already got his new single ready. You haters better pray Diane Warren and David Foster haven’t had Their hands on that song. Fun to sit there watch the fight. 😉 I am not Aussie. But I will put my money on that boy.
