Big Brother – No Surprise Who Was Eliminated
The eviction had about as much plot line tension as a rom com. It was not surprise that Maddy was eliminated. She only received 11 per cent of the save vote, Jade received 52 per cent and Boogs 37 per cent.
Quite frankly I am surprised she even got double figures, because did anyone other then her friends and family vote for her? Not saying she was awful she just added very little to the house. In fact in her eviction interview we saw amusing footage her her asleep grabbing Jade’s breast and talking in her sleep. That was probably for the viewer a highlight of her time in the house.
There would have been voter apathy this week so the number of votes would be down compared some other eviction nights.
With Maddy gone that means Ed and Jade are the only persons left in their alliance. I wonder if it will increase the paranoia and Jade bewilderment about all the good people being evicted.
Maddy will come back for the finale. However Justynn is not so lucky as he is mightily peeved he has not been invited. In his twitter outburst that can bee seen on Behind Big Brother, he says he is not invited. Their rationale is that he was never a housemate. A bit churlish Big Brother. However Justynn showed his lack of self control and tweeted out this gem saying he did not audition for the show and was asked to be “the lumberjack” and to stir up Tim. Well Justynn you didn’t do a very f**king good job at at it. But it also explains why he did come across as a bit too full on and strange in that social setting.
But it again raises the issue of casting and that in this case they deliberately cast this actor to create a certain scenario. Sure put in people with certain character traits but doing this is going outside the ethos of what Big Brother is supposed to be. They would argue they have to produce an entertaining high rating show.
But this year he is not the first contestants to have their background manipulated. Tim was presented as a long term uni student, and Ben as unemployed and no mention of his ten year flight attendant career until the very end of his time in the house.
To be frank the rest of the episode was rather boring with a lot of recaps from yesterday’s episode. Though it was amusing the other housemates were telling Tim that Bindi Irwin came into the house whilst he was in the Presidential Suite. Jade freaking out about a small amount of chilli in the pasta sauce. Ed and her first date will not be at a Thai restaurant.
Also Big Brother must have ben feeling generous as he told them they passed the weekly food challenge where they had to freeze on command. Even he acknowledged there had been a laughing and wobbles. But they would have all gone psycho if they had been on staples for the third week in a row.
