Scott Gooding – Diet Doesn’t Quite Do A Pete Evans But Comes Close

day on a plate

Scott Gooding was one of the extreme health nut team on My Kitchen Rules this year. Scott  and Luke Hines both personal trainers had their “brand” and they kept pushing it much to Pete Evans delight.

He is now pushing his paleo diet philosophy as co-author of Clean Living: A 3 Week Healthy Lifestyle Plan to Help You Chang Your Life. This could also go down as the longest title of  book/paper ever.

Scott did his ‘My Day On A Plate’ which is in the Sun-Herald magazine, it does not quite hit the heights of Pete Evan’s activated almond diet but it comes close.

Here it is:

5.10am I start my day with a glass of water and a banana, followed by a handful of nuts and seeds, including almond flakes, quinoa flakes, chia seeds and walnuts and some ABC (almond, brazil, cashew) butter. Then I mash it all together with frozen blueberries.

10am A bowl of quinoa, kale, goji berries and beetroot , with one large glass of water and a cup of liquorice tea.

10.45am A nut and seed bar as a snack.

Noon: A banana smoothie (two frozen banans with a glass of coconut water, flax seeds and a handful of almonds and walnuts)

2pm A glass of water and a carrot followed by three soft-boiled eggs.

2.30pm An apple and another glass of water.

5.20pm Lamb mince with zucchini, chilli and cherry tomatoe.

Lots of bananas in his diet!!

I read his sidekick Luke Hines has been hired as the Personal Trainer to Angelina Jolene

Hmm, interesting about Luke Littlepetal. Maybe batting for the other team was an ‘essential criteria’ for the job of PT to Angelina – Brad said!

No surprise that these guys start the day with a handful of nuts.

No risk of Jowl$y ever devouring a “seed bar”. Save it for the budgie.

A lot of these so called “super foods” are overhyped ,imo.

He’ll be swinging in the trees soon, with a diet like that.

And he can start a new exercise regime!! Swinging from tree to tree to get fit :-)

I’ve been feeding bananas to a lizard in the garden. “Jowl$y” gets a banana every few days.

Do we know if these are organic bananas? They’re about $8 a kilo extra.

Lol bdd, naming the lizard Jowlsy. Is it a blue tongue?

It is Georgie. Jowl$y will be loving the 37 degrees in store today. He hasn’t crawled out from under his pile of tomato stakes just yet but he made short work of yesterdays banana.

Lots of these don’t even sound like a meal! It will be interesting to see what they look like.

Emma Dean from Masterchef’s book has been released. It looks better than Andy’s from last year. Yes the recipes are simple but at least she didn’t include recipes from other contestants and only two or three from the show.
The only recipe I made from his book was the burgers and they were OK, Kylie’s and Ben’s recipes were better.
