The Voice Australia – Kylie Minogue To Be A Coach
Just had a major fan girl announcement with the news that Kylie Minogue will be joining The Voice Australia as one of the coaches in 2014. Will I Am from the Black Eyed Peas will also be a fresh face to the show.
They will be replacing Delta Goodrem and Seal. Seal along with Mel B will hopefully be put in the never to return to Australian reality TV shows category.
The good news is Joel Madden and Ricky Martin set to return in 2014. However the bad news is this means there is only one Australian and one woman on the swinging chairs.
Delta Goodrem is going to be a coach on The Voice Kids with the press release stating she wants to focus on her music. I hope that is true and she has not been pushed from the show as she was much improved in season two. Adrian Swift from NINE is quoted as saying “she is not able to commit to doing back to back shows”. So why would you pick the show that is not going to rate as well? Hmm. Seriously can producers please back in Australian women to be on these reality TV judging panels there is a lot of talent out there.
She is well cast for The Kids version as she is extremely popular with that demographic.
Joel Madden is also going to be a judge on The Voice Kids. He will be fabulous as well as he is popular with the young demographic and their parents. Also pleased to see that illicit drug bollocks from last year has not made them reluctant to put him on both seasons or him to return to our shores.
Interestingly Darren McMullen will also be the host on The Voice Australia and The Voice he is good and a familiar face but I am surprised they did not want to test out someone new for The Kids season.
The other coaches for The Voice Kids will be announced soon. Will Jess Mauboy be one of them?
The Voice and The Voice Kids coming to NINE in 2014.
