The Biggest Loser US Winner Needs To Eat A Burger

The biggest loser USNormally you would not tell the winner of The Biggest Loser that they need to eat a burger but maybe the newly crowned winner of the US version of the show, Rachel Fredrickson, should.

She lost 60 per cent of her body weight to take out the title of the show and at the finale she weighed in at just over 47 kilograms. Rachel appears to have gone from one end of the scales to another.

She won $250,000 so hopefully she will now put on a few kilos back on.

Former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard lost a quarter of his body weight on this season of the show.

Whoa, what a difference!

2 Georgie { 02.05.14 at 11:58 pm }

Now her mouth looks too big for her body. 😆

She looks like she has been three months on Survivor 😮

It’s great she has lost weight, but you can’t help but question what extremes they go through, especially in those final weeks. Perhaps they need to have some sort of cap ie. they can’t go below what’s unhealthy for their height etc. and perhaps it’s then some other kind of challenge for those that all reach their goal to determine a winner?!

I doubt whether the transformation from frump to fox is going to last.

She better get while the gettin’s good.

The American Biggest Loser may be very slim now – but at least they got her slim. The Australian biggest loser must let the contestants eat KFC in the house as they are never as ‘sleek’ looking as the American ones. Must be a very different training/diet routine over there compared to here!

One thing I do notice when one gets older if they have been fat or slightly chubby – if you lose a LOT of weight they instantly look older. May be fitter – but they can end up looking 15 years older.

Holy moly, I wouldn’t have thought that’s the same girl! She looks awesome! Hopefully the next kilos she puts on will be muscle though. :)

9 Littlepetal { 02.06.14 at 8:49 am }

She was an elite athlete. She knows how to train hard.

She doesn’t look like she needs a burger, she looks fine. Hopefully under the clothes she ripped!

Yeah they say the body has a memory. Athlete’s bodies just seem to slip back into training mode so easily.

I just wish my body’s memory could forget where the Ginger Nut biscuits are in Woolies!!!

Holy crap! She is only 24 (and looks a lot older now!). Yeah it is great that she has loss weight (and I hope that she maintains a healthy weight for the rest of her life) but at the moment she looks skeletal.

13 Remued { 02.06.14 at 7:43 pm }

This confirms my theory that you have the best chance of winning if you start off at 110-120kg. At that weight it’s feasible to lose 50% of your body weight within the time period.
Good on her, but she looks like Skeletor now. Yikes

14 seepi { 02.06.14 at 11:06 pm }

She looks skeletal. I hope this doesn’t send her body into survival mode – she will have to live on lettuce forev er to maintain slimness.

A guy in the Aust version did this a few years ago – I forget his name, but he was skeletal and won.

Maybe that was Chris Martin, seepi ,his weight ballooned after the show finished, however.

He was jogging and working out furiously at all hours of the day.

Carol (we) i was just reading that and was trying to get the link. It is quite an interesting read isn’t it.

Thanks for the link. Carol without the e.

Cosi’s let the fat out of the bag. Maybe the gaffer tape should have gone over his mouth.

$hine taking care of business as usual.

That was a good read, thanks Carol. Interesting about the weigh-ins and the gaffer tape. It’s good to read an honest take on what really goes on. I liked to hear that Shannon and Michelle are genuinely nice and caring towards the contestants.
About Rachel in the article above, Georgie @ 2, you are right, losing all that weight does make her mouth look bigger, that’s quite funny.

21 Carol (without the e) { 02.07.14 at 2:15 pm }

I know the big numbers on weigh ins really make for good TV – however, I think it’s time for them to come clean.

Imagine a 15 year old girl dieting and exercising… trying to shed a few kilos (when she’s probably already beautiful) and being disappointed at just 1.5 kilos in a week.

Can’t you just hear her saying “On the show they must lose that in a day!!!”

It’s false advertising…

They sell shakes and other things… and kind of imply that the contestants are using them… and they are losing xxx kilos in a week.

They are losing that in 10 – 12 – 14 days according to Cosi.

It’s just wrong!

Nice answer back in return of this question with genuine arguments and explaining all concerning that.
