Now Casting: Married At First Sight Meet Your Husband On Your Wedding Day

wedding day

Single and desperate to get married then reality show Married At First Sight might interest you.

This show from Denmark will see four couples matched up but they will only meet for the first time on their wedding day.

NINE are now looking for people willing to participate on the show.

Here is the blurb:

The Nine Network and Endemol Australia are looking for single men and women to take part in a groundbreaking new television show.

We are searching for men and women who are genuinely looking for love and willing to put their heart on the line. You must be ready to commit to love.

This series uses the science of matchmaking to help unlucky-in-love singles meet a potential lifelong partner.

This is not a competition and there is no cash prize.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to find LOVE.

You have to be 25 years or older and obviously not married and bad luck if you are looking for a visa as you have had to be a permanent resident for at least two years.

Go here to apply.

It will be interesting to see who applies.

Ali from The Bachelor could make this work.

2 daisy { 03.19.14 at 11:51 pm }

This would be for Jade from BB. Wouldn’t she have loved a pair of handcuffs and some shackles for Ed.

3 Izobel2 { 03.19.14 at 11:56 pm }

Nice one Georgie!! And Daisy!

4 Eliza { 03.20.14 at 12:00 am }

This must be the show my mum is trying to palm me off on to.

5 Izobel2 { 03.20.14 at 12:11 am }

You will have to try it Eliza, after all what could possibly go wrong???!!!

6 Eliza { 03.20.14 at 12:20 am }

I know, Izobel, no ramifications there, marrying a complete stranger. Marital bliss.

7 brain dead dave { 03.20.14 at 1:47 am }

This show sounds a case of root first and ask questions later.

8 Smythe { 03.20.14 at 6:28 am }

Four weddings followed shortly thereafter by four annulments unless they have to sign contracts stating that they will remain married for a specified amount of time. Will the bride have to provide a dowry?

9 Samantha { 03.20.14 at 7:47 am }

I should enter this. According to eHarmony, I’m undateable!
How can anyone seriously think this is a good idea? Don’t we hear that marriage is sacred all the time? This sort of thing is allowed, yet somehow gay marriage is an affront to the sanctity of marriage. And on a more practical side, who is going to pay for the costs of the divorces?
These people watched too much Dharma and Greg.

10 Eliza { 03.20.14 at 10:01 am }

True, Samantha, if we’re going to take this show seriously, it really is appalling. I would rather be alone than just marry someone for the heck of it. Goes to show what TV networks are coming to. No wonder why in the ads on TV they haven’t been giving away the premise of the show that people would be applying for!

11 Georgie { 03.20.14 at 10:18 am }

And they could save a lot of production money and potential litigation costs by just filming weddings in countries where this actually happens for real.

12 Amy { 03.20.14 at 12:23 pm }

And same sex couples can’t get married. Ugh.

13 brain dead dave { 03.20.14 at 12:41 pm }

One of Dr.Phil’s guests today has had sex with 3, ooo people,male and female in the nine years since he’s been married. He’s not a sex worker either,btw. His wife’s rooting anything that moves, too.

This is a positive view that focuses on the root causes of
commitment reality out side the box, being realistic nothing or no one is perfect, but the potentials and possibilities can exist.
