My Kitchen Rule – Vikki and Helena Have A Cookbook Deal
Vikki and Helena appear to have their post My Kitchen Rules careers sorted out with news the twins have nailed a publishing deal for a cookbook.
Maybe they were smarter then most by keeping strictly to their Greek style of cooking on the show as the publishing deal also includes the girls being sent to Greece where Vikki is hoping to shoot some scenes for a TV show there as well.
The Telegraph reports:
Chosen as one of the final four couples to contest the final days of competition of Channel Seven’s blockbuster cook-off starting tonight, the 25-year-old Moursellas sisters — from Melbourne — are already toasting a publishing deal that will see them write their own cookbook.
The deal will also send them to Greece in July, where Helena hopes to film segments for a TV show to accompany the book.
“Vikki are I writing the book now and we already have a publisher, so we’re very busy cooking up all our recipes,” Helena said.
The twins both ditched their previous jobs prior to the show in the hope of fame and fortune.
“That was definitely the main reason we did it,” Helena said. “We wanted it to open a lot of doors for us and build a career together.”
Prior to working their culinary magic on the show, Helena worked in local radio while Vikki was studying graphic design.
“I love radio and Vikki liked what she was doing, but it wasn’t something we could do together, and that’s what we want to do,” she said. “We want to work together.”
It goes to show that you don’t have to be the best cooks to be the winner from being on a cooking show.
