The Voice Australia – Sabrina Batshon Is Back And It Was The Night Where The Girl’s Shined

Is Australia ready for another wild ride with Sabrina Batshon? The singer who was on the last series of Australian Idol undoubtedly had talent but she lacked consistency. Can she be a contender in this year’s The Voice?

Sabrina sang Celine Dion’s power ballad and cracked out the big votes  and there has not been a lot of big singers this year. All the judges but Will.i.am turned around and she ended up with Ricky. Which may not be the correct decision as he has the other big girl voice on his team. However as you know we don’t see the auditions in order, and that is why they wear the same clothes day in and day out. Also the people auditioning don’t know what is happening on stage.

Sabrina will be compelling viewing.

There were other great performances mainly by the girls.

Rosie Henshaw was amazing in being both original and entertaining and it got Ricky grooving which is always a positive thing. However she went with Kylie.

Jayde Grey was also fantastic as well singing Freefallin’. Her day job is playing Marilyn at Movie World on the Gold Coast. Reality TV savants will know that was Sophie Monk’s job before she went on Popstars. She picked to go on Team Will.i.am.

Beth Anderson was  tad unlucky that no one turned around as he most certainly has not had the weakest voice in the auditions. Her compelling backstory of not being able to sing since her brother Kristian’s death was sad.

The Voice Australia auditions continue tonight on NINE at 7.30pm.

Last night I had the thought that Willy was holding back, maybe even instructed to hold back, because of the problem in the Voice format, ie all the good singers on one team means not so good ones outlast some fantastic singers.

The question I want answered is why $abrina hasn’t gone the whole nine yards and changed her name to Batshit?

Beth Anderson hasn’t been able to sing since her brother died… and no one turned around? The answer is obvious – no one could hear her! 😈

Thank you for reminding me where I’ve seen her before. Wasn’t she a bit full of herself on Idol too? I vaguely seem to recall.

From memory, Sabrina went onto idol flying a mental issues banner, but it was a different problem then. I’m kind of suspicious that she is over-playing. But then again, I suppose I hope for her sake that she is.

Loved Rosie Henshaw. I find though that once the singers have been ‘coached’ they lose something. Some of them don’t need coaching they just need a platform! Coaching is the pits does not make them better.

Ricky is forming a powerful team. Unfortunately, some of his talent will be discarded. Perhaps Joel and Kylie could re-draft them?

Kylie seems hesitant to push the buzzer first. Lack of experience?

Rosie kinda looked familiar as well-does anyone know if she’s been on any other talent shows before?
I enjoyed her tone and her uniqueness.
