Masterchef’s George Calombaris Leaves His Diners Barfing
George Calombaris’s Mother’s Day menu did not go quite as planned with a few dinners vomiting and diahhorea.

A Melbourne restaurant co-owned by George Calombaris is under investigation over a food poisoning outbreak following a Mother’s Day luncheon.
The Department of Health and the local council are looking into the MasterChefjudges’ Hellenic Republic in Kew after reports that at least two groups of diners fell sick on Sunday evening.
It is believed the patrons — who suffered from vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps — consumed items from a set menu designed for the special occasion.
The Greek restaurant reportedly welcomed 600 diners through its doors on Mother’s Day.
The response from his company is:
A spokeswoman for Calombaris’ company, Made Establishment, told Fairfax there was “no evidence as to the cause of this,” adding: “The welfare and enjoyment of our guests is of utmost importance to us and we are committed to resolving this as our highest priority.”
Maybe this has been the secret to George’s weight loss.
Though in good news for George is that the industrial relations tribunal has issued a ruling saying that the lowest paid restaurant and cafe workers will have their penalty rates reduced for working Sunday. I don’t really see the logic in that.
