Farmer Wants A Wife Farmer Rob and Jo Are Having A Baby

Farmer Wants A Wife premiered on Channel Nine tonight (sorry I have yet to watch), but it truly is one of my favourite reality shows as there is no prize except finding love and  a life partner.

I also find that for the majority of the contestants there is no hidden agenda, like launching their glamour model career, or promoting their business, so you tend to see the real them.

Farmer Rob and Jo from season two married, and now they are having a baby. It will be the second baby for the show with season 1 couple Chris and Kim already having procreated.

Also in recent new Scott and Clare got engaged.

Anyway it is sure to be a good season, as the Farmers look a bit hotter than other years.

Farmer Wants A Wife – Brad and Stacie Get Hitched

Woman’s Day must have bought the rights to cover the wedding of my favourite Farmer Wants A Wife couple.

Brad and Stacie who met on the show last year are now married.

The Woman’s Day link to an exerpt of the article is here.

As expected Stacie was a no fuzz bride and bought the first wedding dress she tried on.

Farmer Wants A Wife Update – What Has Happened Six Months Hence

Watched the finale last Wednesday and wondering what is happening with the Farmer’s and their loves? Well kindly OK Magazine and TV WEEK has the gossip for us.

Here is what they had to say:

Farmer Becky:

Farmer Becky and her man of choice Joe Headon, Signed off from the show keen to make their long-distance relationship work – she lives with her eight-year-old daughter, Charlie, on a ranch seven hours out of Adelaide, while Joe lives in Darwin. However, it seems absence didn’t make the heart grow fonder. “We are no longer together,” Becky reveals to OK!, but says that she’s still friends with Joe. “We still catch up on Facebook. It would be hard to keep in touch any other way – he lives so far away!”

There is no one special in Becky’s life at present. “I was seeing someone for a bit after the show, but that’s not on anymore,” she tells us. As for regrets, there are none for this female farmer. She’s happy to have gone on the show, and her decision to choose Joe in the end, even if Gavin Baker who has a daughter of his own, might have seemed a more suitable choice.

TV WEEK also reveals it was Joe who decided not to proceed with the relationship. He said “If you don’t ahave a spark, you can’t have a fire,”. But Becky says “I wanted it to be [more] but he doesn’t so…”

Farmer Devon:

He could go on all day about Leila Sweeney’s good qualities, 25-year-old farmer Devon Mill told viewers during the finale, but their fairytale romance wasn’t meant to be. Not long after the show wrapped, the farmer from Hopetoun, Victoria, parted ways with the 21-year-old fashion designer and according to farmer Charlie’s lady, Alison, the couple is no longer on speaking terms. Leila has since moved to Sydney and is living – in an unlikely coupling- with Christy Lang, the contender for Charlie’s heart who was bitten by a Redback spider during her farm stay.

As for farmer Devon, he’s single and , rumour has it, under instruction from his parents to keep his mind less on the ladies and more on the farm!

Farmer Jamie:

Pearl Diver Jamie Morgan, 41, from Western Australia’s Monkey Mia found his gem in fellow WA native Emma Bramwell early on in the show and Nat reveals the pair didn’t hesitate to take their relationship to the next level. “She moved up to Monkey Mia very quickly after the show ended,” she says. “They’re still happily together.”

However I just bought TV WEEK and they are saying they have split – Farmer Jamie said their love “lasted the plane flight home,” and he adds “Towards the end of the show, she became a different person. Emma however says “I think he wants someone who’s in holiday mode all the time.”

Farmer Charlie:

Is still with Alison and she is making long term plans for country living. She is looking at becoming a rural doctor. OK Mag says the pair are blissfully in love, but marriage is not on the cards. “It’s the longest relationship either of us has been in. It’s a learning experience, its’ good, it’s fun.” she beams.

Farmer Shaun:

On last week’s finale Farmer Shaun had said he had found love outside the show however TV WEEK states that his relationship with country girl Lucy, who he met after the farm state didn’t work out. However he still might have a shot at love as many girls have contacted him via Facebook. “I’ve got phone numbers for a few people who I’m hoping to catch up with,” he reveals.

Farmer Nathan:

Well I was wrong he found love and he is now engaged, and he proposed whilst on the show. Always a risky move and in my opinion slightly tacky. But then it is entertaining, like Boston Rob proposing to Amber on the set of the Survivor Reunion. They are now planning their wedding and also babies might be on the cards for this loved up couple.

SPOILER:Farmer Wants A Wife – Nathan Is Engaged

Well I was well wrong about Farmer Nathan. I thought he would have a hard time finding a woman because of drab personality, and remote farm. However he is now engaged to Amanda, with Farmer Wants A Wife again showing this program is a legitimate way of meeting someone.

New Idea had the story of their engagement. They also say that sweet Farmer Charlie is still going out with Alison Jones.

With Emma and the pearl farmer all loved up is this the most successful season yet?

Farmer Wants A Wife – And We Have A Pearl Necklace

Thankfully things had not heated up THAT much on Farmer Wants A Wife, but pearl Farmer Jamie was gave the real thing to his lady love the delightful Emma. Last week they tried to make out that Jamie had rejected Vanessa. But in the latest edition of TV WEEK, she said off camera she was encouraging the pair to get together. She said she is still friends with the pair and is going to see them in September. So going by that they still must be on.

Emma is about the only positive thing on this season on Farmer Wants A Wife, her and Becky. The rest of the farmers and girls are lacking in charisma.

Devon and Leila had a night away and he reckons it was one of the best times he had spent with a girl. Was he a virgin? But now he needs to spend some time with Jess, who auditioned for the wrong reality show. She should have tried out for Australia’s Next Top Model as she is stunning. I don’t blame Leila for feeling a tad insecure about her.

And didn’t the producers make sure we got the swimsuit shots of her as Devon took her water skiing. Devon confesses he finds Jess hot. She is only 19 year old and is a vet student so I don’t think she will be moving to Hopetoun any time soon. What I find quite uninspiring about him is the girl has to move to his town, why can’t he move from his town for love.

I still think he will be hanging with his mates all the time.

I really like Farmer Becky who has a million acre station to run. At the moment she is tossing up between Joe and Gavin. I don’t think she ends up with Gavin as he says the best thing about his stay was meeting Charlie her daughter.

Charlie who ran into Walcha hospital with no shoes on when Kristy had been bitten by a red back spider is a nice kid.  Kristy ended up being transferred to Armidale after that. Walcha Hospital probably decided to flick the responsibility onto the larger hospital as who wants a patient dying on camera.

Alison, Charlie’s other girl was grinning from ear to ear when he told her about the spider bite. He is playing his cards close to his chest with his girls, I suspect he will end up with neither.

Shaun who has a rocking body, but is a tad dull as are his girls. Eliza likes him and she gets a date with him tonight but don’t expect scintillating conversation. When she leaned in for a kiss he couldn’t pull back fast enough. The rumours must be true regarding him meeting someone before the girls arrived at the farm as he looks like he is going through the motions.

Nathan and Amanda are on, as seen by the pashing on TV.  Tessa was not happy when she was told that she had no hope and got teary. So I was wrong maybe Nathan has hidden charisma I predicted he wouldn’t get a girl, and it looks like he could have had two of them.

Apparently Tessa could not leave like Vanessa did from Monkey Mia as the location was too remote and the planes only leave 3 days a week and the closest town was 350kms away.

Anyway next week they take their girls on city date and then they decide who they want to be with.

Farmer Wants A Wife – Is Farmer Nathan Not Really A Farmer

Farmer Nathan from Farmer Wants A Wife has been presented as being a drover on this huge property, is that true? Rumour is he is actually the farms mechanic. But maybe that doesn’t sound quite as sexy as being a drover.

Not that I have a problem with that, most of these farmers are living in their parent’s house.

SPOILER: The other rumour is he gets the girl, but is now living in Perth.

Also the other rumour doing the rounds is that Shaun, the farmer with the six pack, met a girl between applying to be on Farmer Wants A Wife, and the time the girls got on the farm.

Farmer Wants A Wife – These Girls Need A Reality Check

Seriously I may sound cynical but can these girls on this show stop reading Mills and Boon’s before they go on it. The love will conquer all crap is getting on my nerves.

I mean do Nathan’s girls seriously think that “true love” is going to make living on a farm in the middle of nowhere at all palatable after the first signs of lust start to fade? I doubt I could live there even if George Clooney was droving the cattle.

The big story line this week is Shaun the farmer with the rocking bod from Western Australia. We knew from TV Week that one of his girls was going to walk, and it did not take long to figure out it was going to be Michelle.

Michelle seemed to like him but when he did not declare outright love beside the dam she kind of threw in the towel. However a twitter friend (@sixinchheels) says that on a forum it states that Shaun started dating someone between the farm dates and the farm visits. So that might have been why he was being so cool.

I really like Becky and hope she manages to find love with one of her fellas. And they seem like nice genuine guys.

Emma seems to be the front runner at Monkey Mia, but Jamie to me seems like a bit of a player. But then maybe they are told by the producers to treat all the girls like they want to be with them forever.

Charlie who looks like he is a sweetie, needs to develop more confidence and conversational skills before he gets much older. The equine lady (sorry forgot her name) who is a year younger then him, seemed about 10 years older then him on a emotional maturity level. He just reminds me of a 17 year old.

Devon I kind of like, but he looks like a larrikin, and I think after awhile he would be spending a few too many nights at the pub with his mates.

At this stage I think the only ones who has some long term potential with his girls is Farmer Jamie, and Farmer Becky.

Farmer Wants A Wife – One Of Shaun’s Girls Walks

TV Week say that one of Shaun girl’s that he selected to go to his farm left. They did not give away the name of the girl but she said there was not chemistry there.

The article states:

“Something had changed, ” the lady in question admits. “Thre were about four weeks between the speed date and when we went to the farm, and it felt like he’d backed off – he just didn’t seem as relaxed or as open. It was awkward from the very beginning.”

And it seem the stress of having a TV crew and three relative strangers on his farm didn’t help matters either.

“Shaun had a bit of a problem with being told what to do and how to do it[by the crew],” the mystery girl explains. “He got a little bit [cranky] at times, which is understandable – it’s his property adn they were changing their minds every five minutes. He was getting annoyed.”

Add an apparent lack of chemistry to the mix.

“I didn’t get any vibe from him whatsoever,” she continues. “I was like ‘I’m wasting my time here’. You can tell when someone is attracted to you, and I just wasn’t getting anything from him – he was so shut off. After two days, I [thought], ‘Oh, well, I don’t need to be here.’”

While we’ll see the dropout awkwardly telling Shaun she’s leaving on screen, she’d actually already broken the news to him behind closed door.

“I told him privately,” she confirms. ” I said to him, ‘Shaun, I just don’t fell like I’m getting anything from you and I’m not feeling anything, so I don’t want to waste everyone’s time being here.’

“He was like,’Oh, OK, that’s fine, I’m alright with that,’ But you could tell in his face that he didn’t see it coming.”

The hunky bachelor admits that he felt ” a little bit surprised’, adding ,” I thought we were getting on really well. I thought that she was enjoying herself. I’m not really sure why she changed her mind.”

Shaun maintains there was “definitely a connection” between them both and laughs upon hearing that the main reason for her leavign was an apparent lack of interest fro him.

“Maybe that’s my fault, I’m not really sure. I was trying to let her know [that I was interested], but obviously I still had to be fair to the other two remaining girls.”

But when the couple had to play out the “I’m leaving” scene for the cameras, the departing girl was shocked by the shift in Shaun’s response.

“He said that he didn’t fell anything either and that we were just friends – like he was trying to make himself sound better or tougher. I [thought], ‘Whoa! Where did that come from?! OK, if you want to play it that way, then fine.’”

And the fleeing female says she would “definitely” have stayed around if she’d  known Shaun was interested.

“I chose him because I was attracted to him. I thought he spoke really well and that he seemed like a really nice guy who you could spend the rest of your life with. I really like him. I just didn’t get it.”

But although she’s recently started seeing someone new, the headstrong girl and Shaun are still in contact, with both insisting there are no hard feelings. And for the farmer, there was also a silver lining to his dream girl’s exit.

“It was a little bit of a relief,” he admits. “I was dreading telling one of the girls to go home the next week, and this meant that I didn’t have to.”

Farmer Wants A Wife – The Girls Go To The Farms

PREDICTION: There is no way Nathan on this season’s Farmer Wants A Wife is going to get a partner on this show. Not only does he live in the middle of nowhere, but the nearest town 400 kms from his farm was in the middle of nowhere.

Also it is just you and him, and he is severely lacking in charisma. Then having all that against him. The girls shredded two tyres and he had to come and get them, and that took 8 hours. Quite frankly I would not have bothered to unpack, and be insisting to Fremantle Media to send in a chopper to get be the hell out of there.

Jamie the pearl farmer was having better luck with his three women, as where he lived was isolated but Monkey Mia on the water was beautiful. I find him a tad immature and by the sounds of it he has never had a relationship, which is a bit disturbing in a 40 year old man. So I don’t know how much of a catch he would be. But I really like Emma and hope she gets what she wants.

Shaun still gets hottie of the series, but the scene where he was looking over his wedding photos made me think was he over his first wife. I bet she won’t be happy being shown to be a villain on national TV, as he keeps on saying she left because she was still in love with a previous boyfriend.

Devon seems like he has the emotional maturity of a 15 year old. Who thinks taking a girl rabbit trapping is going to have an aphrodisic affect, and if it did she wouldn’t be the girl to pick to be your wife. By the way he actually lives in Hopetoun and is just staying on his parents farm for the series.

Charlie is another farmer who is clearly in his parents home, but he probably still lives there with them. He seems like a sweetie, and at least he tried to do something exotic with his zucchini kilpatrick. So if this doesn’t work out for him he could audition for Masterchef. The thing about his girls is that one is 19 (Sophie) and the other is a 21 year old chemistry student. I mean are either of them really looking for a full on relationship at such a young age?

Becky is a sweetie as is her daughter, and I think she has a great chance of finding a partner from this show. She has the benefit of having three strong guys to help her with the farm work for 10 days. That must be giving her a bit of a break.

At this stage I am have not got any favourite girls or guys as I have not seen enough of them, but hopefully after next week’s episode we will know if there is any chemistry between them farmers and their dates.

Farmer Wants A Wife – The Speed Dates

There is something endearing about this show where people come on a reality show genuinely looking for love, and Farmer Wants A Wife has proven it works, with marriages, engagements and ever long term relationships even if not all of them have worked out.

But it does amuse me how they think true love will conquer all. Seriously they this will make living in the middle of nowhere be worthwhile.

This season there will be five guys farmers and 1 female, and this time only six dates were picked for the speed date and not the usual ten.

Farmer Becky works and lives in the middle of nowhere South Australia, and has an 8 year old girl. All her blokes looked a bit similar – stocky and very strine. She picked Gavin, Steven and Joe.

Devon who lives in a town of 300 in Victoria had a different strategy for his speed dates by using a questionnaire which could have been a bit off putting but at least he did not have any awkward pauses like Charlie the 25 year old from NSW who could barely string two sentences together. In fact he didn’t manage it. He picked Sophie, Alison, and I missed the third girl. Devon took Leila, and Christina, and Jess back to the farm.

Devon talks about his experience on the show to the Herald Sun and says he would do it all again.

Shaun the 31 year old from WA is definitely the hottie of the series. He has previously been married but is looking for love again. Shaun piced Michelle, Elisa, Cathy and I think he dodged a bullet by not picking that deluded blond chick who said she had never been unlucky in love. Huh? Then what is she doing on the show?

Jamie is a 40 year old pearl farmer, and he had one girl pull out after the speed date, as she said she did not think she would fit in with his lifestyle, this was code for your not doing it for me. He ended up picking Lyn, Vanessa and Emma.

Nathan is a drover in the middle of Western Australia, his closest neighbour is over 150 kms away. Apparently he can sometimes be away for weeks at a time. He chose Jemma, Tessa, and Amanda to take back to the farm, and at this stage they don’t know where they are going.

The show only gets interesting once they get to the farms so things hot up next week.
