More Celebrity MasterChef Australia Contestant’s Revealed

Seven more Celebrity MasterChef Contestants have been revealed.

They are:

  • Actor Steve Bisley – who also used to own a cafe in Balmain so should know how to wield a sourdough stick or at least bake a friand.
  • Sydney Swans AFL Footballer – Ryan O’Keefe – Sorry have no clue who this guy is.
  • Musician Alex Lloyd – he  must have a new album coming out and will use this to promote it.
  • Miss Universe contestant Rachael Finch – Didn’t she deny she was on it late last week? Something about not having time to cook in the last four months. Don’t expect her to make the semi’s.
  • Aussie Batsman Simon Katich – I don’t know him either, clearly I need to get out more.
  • Kath and Kim actor Peter Rowsthorn- Kath’s husband will at least provide some personality to the show even if he cannot cook.
  • Fuzzy Agolley from Video Hits – presumingly because she is a Channel Ten personality.

The previous seven contestants announced were Olympic swimmer and world record breaker Eamon Sullivan, leading Australian fashion designer Alex Perry, acclaimed journalist and broadcaster Peter Fitzsimons, The Biggest Loser trainer and fitness expert Michelle Bridges, news anchor, journalist and activist Indira Naidoo, founding member of Australia’s much loved children’s group Hi-5 Kathleen de Leon, and Premier of QLD Anna Bligh.

For my opinion on those contestants go here.

Also did Peter Fitzsimmons drop a big hint in his column in the Sun Herald that he won his heat and is through to the semi finals? He has finished his heat, and he wrote that he might see Anna Bligh in the semi’s or maybe he was just being mischevious.

The show will premier on Channel Ten on the 30th September at 7.30pm.

I’d watch it just for Peter Rowsthorn & Indira Naidoo; i wouldn’t bother with anyone else :(

I think they’ve got something for everyone – sports nuts, teenyboppers, tv addicts, current affairs … I wonder who the last contestant is?

Will Jubb Jubb be making a guest appearance with Kathleen?

Umm…. really are these people celebrities? Or are they infamous TV personalities? Because quite fucking frankly, I haven’t heard of half of them!

Damnit… I was going to boycott this thanks to the utter blandness and crowning of mediocrity in the first season, but Indira Naidoo? I’m so there. India for the win!

Whoever wrote this article is a knob. I’m a chick with no interest in sport and i know who Simon Katich is.

Sharon – Why would I bother lying about whether I knew or did not know of Simon Katich? It neither adds nor detracts from the blog post.

anon – Indira could almost win viewers choice before the show has even started.

Is Steve Bisley now suspect for this show following media reports that he faces court on a charge of assaulting his ex?

I reckon his spot should be given to Kyle Sandilands who, in his current state of mind, would make pretty good viewing as he struggles to presents a range of low-cal recipes based on Krispy Kreme donuts. It would be great to see him arc up as George and Garry give him their “gee that looks interesting, but do you think you have time” spiel while he’s in the process of incinerating his food.
