Delta’s Dancing Mocked But This Time By A Celeb NOT Social Media

Delta bad dancingPoor Delta your out enjoying yourself at a Jay Z and Beyonce concert you don’t expect to be dissed on social media. Actor Marlon Wayans was near her and clearly was not appreciating her white girl dance moves. But it does look like she is using one of her signature The Voice moves there.

The Voice Australia highlights – Sarah Lloyde and Jerson Trinidad

With a wonderful rendition of ‘The Voice Within’ by Christina Aguilera, 24 year-old Sarah Lloyde certainly proved that she’s got The Voice within! As one of many young female vocalists on Delta’s team, the Adelaide singer has performed since a very young age, but admits that her passion for music lead to many years of bullying in primary and high school. But she has never stopped singing and made her theatre debut in Jesus Christ Superstar in 2010. She’s especially fond of music from the 1950s and cites Etta James as a big inspiration.

Prior to The Voice, Sarah had auditioned for Australian Idol in 2007, where she failed to move forward from the semi-finals, losing against the likes of Natalie Gauci, who was eventually crowned the winner.

She’s not the first contestant on Nine’s new show that has appeared on Australian Idol. I spotted Idol 2009’s Casey Barnes performing Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ with a female contestant named Michelle, and the pair were unable to impress.

Sarah’s Australian Idol audition can be viewed here, where the then-19 year-old sings Beyonce’s ‘Listen’.

Meanwhile, for her online audition for The Voice, she sang ‘At Last’ by Etta James, which can be watched right here:

Also from her YouTube channel, you can listen to her amazing cover of ‘Different Worlds’ by Jes Hudak here:

And like many other contestants, you can follow Sarah on Twitter at @slloyde.

Also making on Delta’s team, just last night, is 39 year-old Jerson Trinidad, who auditioned with the support of his sister and best friend. I was completely blown away by his amazing performance of John Legend’s ‘Ordinary People’. It’s definitely something you want to check out! Have a listen here (the official YouTube page for The Voice likes to pick and choose which performance they upload, so you can only check some out on the Nine website).

The Phillipines-born Melbourne performer moved to Australia when he was a teenager, and has become a professional singer after competing in many talent quests. His musical experience has included both as a solo artist and as a member of several groups.

Watch Jerson perform ‘Ain’t Nobody’ with Erika Lapina and Charlene Sotolo, here:

It does seem that the older contestants are coming on the show at some disadvantage because of their bankability in comparison to the much younger singers, but let’s see what the judges can do to help them in their music careers. But seeing many past Idol singers coming on both The Voice and The X Factor Australia (Tarisai Vushe), I’m doubtful that many will succeed here.

The Voice – Delta Goodrem – This Is Not A Good Look

Picture source: Daily Telegraph via Snapper Media

Call me old fashion but can Delta’s stylist have a word with her, this outfit is something from Pretty Woman. What is with the high heels where the shoes don’t fit, and the shorts that look like she has a camel toe.

Delta is an attractive girl all her assets don’t have to be on show.

The Voice Australia – filming begins!

Nine’s new singing comp The Voice Australia has begun filming at Fox Studios in Sydney this week, but there have been claims that audience members are being turned away because of a ticket stuff-up.

As Daily Telegraph reported:

Our phones rang hot with some claiming more than 200 weren’t allowed into one session of the Nine singing search, but booking agent Applause Store insisted ticket holders were told it was “first come, first served.

With the blind auditions starting this week, the news of judge Delta Goodrem’s breakup with American teen star Nick Jonas has hit the papers today with her manager confirming the split. Now, we don’t know exactly when the pair parted ways, reportedly due to their separate careers, but the news has certainly come out at the right time with the start of filming this week. While the open auditions for a rival singing search commences next month, The Voice Australia definitely has enough momentum for a big launch in April.

I’m very interested to see newcomers Seal and Keith Urban on the judging panel alongside Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem. Both Joel and Delta have appeared on Australian Idol as guest judges in the past and with Joel even appeared on The X Factor Australia as a mentor during the overseas week.

ARIA Gossip – Reality TV Related – Simone Holtznagel and Altiyan Childs

Don’t panic the Australia’s Next Top Model star Simone is not in a lip lock with Altiyan Childs there are just little vignettes of gossip about both from the ARIA’s.

Sydney Confidential reports that Simone Holtznagel was carrying lube, but not for any nefarious activities but because she was wearing latex and apparently she needed it for her legs.

Altiyan Child’s who was accompanied by his 19 year old girlfriend won an award for highest selling single and was also spotted drinking double rum and cokes. Good to see he is still living the rock and roll lifestyle.

Also Delta Goodrem said she is a good headspace now, new man Nick Jonas, and new role as judge on The Voice. So should be a big 2012 for her.
