Hell’s Kitchen started on Lifestyle Channel on Saturday night at 8.30pm hosted by Gordon Ramsay with the usual rag tag of chef contestants. Ok maybe they are not chefs but line cooks.

Anyway someone with a lot of time on their hands has done this hilarious video on Gordon by cleverly editing footage. It is not for the faint hearted.

Radar Online have a story declaring Gordon Ramsay’s Dwarf Porn Double Found Dead In A Badger’s Den.

Look I know this story may seem exceedingly low end, however I learnt two things from this story.

1. There are dwarf porn stars, and

2. There are celebrity lookalike porn stars.

So don’t tell me this blog is not educational.

The Junior Masterchef contract yarn was in the SMH today and I had to laugh that Max Markson said people should sign up to it. This week it emerges that a restaurant owner/chef Joseph Cerniglia, 39, who had been on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares has been found in the Hudson River deceased.

The owner of an Italian eatery called Campania, was seen by viewers in the 2007 episode of Kitchen Nightmare had allegedly committed suicide.

Gordon Ramsay has come in for some criticism from various media outlets about his style on the show, which slightly questions whether he could have contributed to his death.

The SMH writes:

When the chef sighed, Ramsay said: “Are you getting upset now?”

Cerniglia said that he was “getting real upset”, to which Ramsay replied: “Thank —- for that. Hopefully I’ll get through to you now.”

Later Cerniglia told the programme: “I’m financially in trouble. The debt of the restaurant alone is overwhelming. My personal debt – wife, kids, mortgage – that’s a lot of debt.”

Ramsay asked Cerniglia: “Why did you become a chef-owner if you haven’t a clue how to run a business? Your business is about to swim down the ——- Hudson.”

Mr Cerniglia’s mother, Pat, told the programme: “I worry about Joe. I worry about his stress levels.”

His wife, Melissa, said the couple had “put everything on the line for a dream”, adding: “If this business fails, we will lose everything.”

The also write:

The restaurant survived after Ramsay suggested changes to its menu and layout in the 2007 series.

Customers said it had recently been doing well and was usually busy.

And also mentioned that he was the second Kitchen Nightmares participant to commit suicide.

Trying to create a link between the cause of the suicide and Gordon is spurious. He appeared on the show 3 years ago, and if you look at the YouTube footage on the SMH site,  he did not seem too scarred by the experience.

Also by casting these aspersions it does no favours for people who suffer from a mental illness or suffering from depression. Mental illness is much more complex then that.

Hopefully a local station will buy the rights to the US version of Masterchef, as with Gordon Ramsay as host it looks like it is going to be great.

Reporter goes to Maze restaurant in London, which is on of Gordon’s restaurants and orders a well done steak,

He then comes back to Australia to confront Ramsay with pictures of the steak saying it was over done and rubbery.

Huh says Ramsay clearly confused, and he handles this fuckwittery well,  in the end saying but you ordered a well done steak…

No wonder he loses his rag sometimes if this is the type of crap he has to put up with.

Hell's Kitchen Starts Tonight

A Current Affair must be loving the publicity from the “feud”  between Gordon Ramsayand Tracey Grimshaw. They won in the ratings from Today Tonight for a long time.

If you have been holidaying in Bhutan for the past week go to this The Punch article to get an overview. But basically Gordon said she was a lesbian pig.

Frankly I am getting a little bored of the whole thing. Yes what Ramsay said to Tracy Grimshaw was degrading, but how often have A Current Affair subtly degraded people over the past decade. 

Today the story sank to new lows with an an article dredging up the story of Ramsay being arrested in a toilet 16 years ago, implying there may have been something gay going on. This was not the case.

So not ok to call Grimshaw a Lesbian, but OK to imply that if you are in a public toilet block that something homoerotic must be going on. Alan Jones may refute that.

Also why in 2009 is being a lesbian or dabbling in homosexual activity seen to be a negative thing.

Yes we know Gordon Ramsay is a prick but isn’t that why we the viewers made him a superstar?

Anyway if you want to see Ramsay at his arsehole best the new series of Hell’s Kitchen starts tonight on the Lifestyle Channel at 8.30pm.

It is the latest series from the US not the season 2 that Channel 9 unsuccessfully screened earlier this year.

It appears Gordon Ramsay who was super hot for Channel 9 in 2007 is beginning to go the way of gladiator sandals and is on the way out.

Last week Hell’s Kitchen USA premiered on Channel 9 to very low ratings of 625,000 in the 9.30pm timeslot.  It is a wonder Channel 9 has not pulled it since they are the kings of the knee jerk reaction.

Here is what I see is wrong with the show:

They get on second rate chefs who have worked in cafeteria’s  and diners to ensure Gordon is able to humiliate them at every opportunity.

It is so obviously fake, and scripted, even Gordon’s “anger” is scripted especially when he closes the kitchen, and

It is Season 2, in the US they are showing Season 5, and Lifestyle showed Season 4 at the beginning of the year.

Personally I think Gordon is becoming a parody of himself, and obviously the stories of his infidelities has NOT helped his credibility. He needs to take some time out, refresh, and then return to television.
